Chained Horse Expresses His Gratitude In The Most Beautiful Way To The Vet Who Frees Him

In Romania wild horses were found shackled by their front and hind legs to prevent escape. Thankfully a vet working for Four Paws International Came to the rescue, and what happened next is everything.
The vet in question, Ovidiu Rosu, carefully approached the horses and proceeded to release them. Initially panicked the horses sought to escape, but one decided to approach Rosu and thank him for saving them by touching its nose to Rosu's.
This event was the latest in a series of animal welfare work done by the organization Four Paws International. As they explained in the video, this is a practice that is all too common in Romania.

These wild horses were originally introduced to the Romanian wilderness 300 to 400 years ago when they were left behind by the Tatars. These horses roamed free and were joined by another batch of horses released during the breakup of agricultural cooperatives in 1989, according to Animal Channel.
By 2010 an estimated 1,500 wild horses lived in the Danube Delta. When they began entering the Letea Forest looking for food the local authorities and environmentalist groups decided that the best thing to do was to exterminate them.
Four Paws didn't want this to happen and instead sought to manage the horse population by hampering their birth rates with contraceptives. In either case, the horse population in Letea Forest had managed to drop to 500 according to a 2017 aerial census.
Aside from freeing the horses Four Paws also immunizes them and provides alternative food sources during the winter, such as alfalfa.
In the comments of the video of the incident -- which has since gone viral on social media, one commenter lamented the poor treatment of the animals by the country's officials and shelters. They note that the state planned to kill thousands of wild pets while they were visiting.
Another commenter agreed and felt that animal abusers didn't receive adequate punishment in Romania. They proceed to tell Four Paws: "thanks for helping animals that can't defend themselves."
