Celebrity Hair Transformations: From Sandra Bullock’s Blonde Locks, Jennifer Garner’s Pink Waves, To Rihanna’s Caramel Brown Color

Beauty trends may be changing depending on the season or year, and fashion statements can sometimes come and go in a snap, but whenever celebrities step out with something new in terms of style, fans immediately jump on the bandwagon and try it out for themselves. This only proves that famous people have major influences over their supporters and can function as trendsetters.

Over the past few years, three of the most famous celebrities have come out with brand new hairstyles that fans truly adored and loved. Read below to see how their fans reacted.

In early November 2023, Rihanna, whose real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, shocked fans with a completely new hairstyle, which had fans wondering if she wore a wig during an outing.

According to a post by Just Jared on Instagram, the musician rocked her long hairstyle in a caramel shade after she had dinner with friends in Los Angeles, California. 

The singer, who just had her second baby with her partner ASAP Rocky that year, wore a beige coat, white shirt, a pair of graphic-printed jeans, and what appeared to be snakeskin-printed shoes.

Although the musician changed her hair color through the years, like the red locks during her “Loud” era and a blonde bob during her “Talk That Talk” phase, fans were shocked with the 2023 transformation, as prior to that, she would wear her natural shade.

Fans shared their thoughts about the new hairstyle in the comment section as one questioned, “Is it a wig though?”

“R u kiddddddkng? So gorgeous,” one quipped, while another one added, “Looks good on her.”

Another celebrity who’s not afraid to experiment with hair color and hairstyles is Sandra Bullock. Throughout her career, the actress usually flaunts her dark locks, but there was a time when she went all out and opted for a blonde shade.

In 2009, Bullock starred in a movie called “The Blind Side” along with Tim McGraw. Written and directed by John Lee Hanock, the movie was based on a book of the same name by author Michael Lewis. 

The film revolved around a football player named Michael Oher, who was able to get through life’s challenges despite his upbringing as he entered the National Football League with the help of other people.

The movie shocked audiences, not only with its story but also with Bullock’s gorgeous blonde hair, which was completely different from her previous hairstyles.

There was also one time when Bullock recalled a failed experience when she attempted to dye her hair pink for Valentine’s Day and to fit the occasion, she also wanted her hair to appear in the shape of a heart.

In an interview with Ruby Wax, she recalled the incident and couldn’t stop laughing about it.

Regardless, the actress kept her dark hair throughout the years, but her locks always appeared effortless, especially when she portrayed the role of Debbie Ocean in the film “Ocean’s 8.” Her hairstylist for the film, Lona Vigi, shared that it looked good because of Bullock’s natural hair texture.

“Her hair is just naturally thick and beautiful with a wave… She just has really good hair,” she told The Cut in 2018.

Last on our list is Jennifer Garner, who showed off not just one but several completely different hairstyles when she appeared on the cover of Allure Magazine in May 2023.

For the first look, shared on her official Instagram account, the actress could be seen rocking short hair with a subtle hint of pink as she posed wearing a sheer pastel dress. 

Other images revealed that her styling team experimented with her hairstyle as she rocked a wet look, a red bob, a vibrant yellow hair color, a bowl cut that seemed to be straight from an old movie, and her usual blow-out shoulder-length hair.

Fans took to the comment section to share their reactions, which were mostly positive, as one wrote, “Well you are definitely good at being gorgeous 😍 🔥”

“Love you as a redhead!!” one commended her for one of the looks.

“Wow!! You look absolutely stunning!! your body looks amazing!! 🔥💯” one reacted, while another one wrote, “You have always been so classy and naturally beautiful🦋”

Some people even noticed that her red hair reminded them of her role as Sidney Bristoe in the series “Alias,” as one wrote, “It’s giving Sydney-Bristow-disguises era and we love it.”

Regarding how she maintained her healthy hair, Garner thanked the hair-care line called Virtue, for which she is a spokesperson.

“It actually works. I’m religious about the shampoos and conditioners — they’re total game changers,” she said of their products in her cover story for Allure.
