Aside from Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw, Garth Brooks, and many other country music legends, another artist that many would think of when someone says country music is Carrie Underwood.
Underwood stands out among other country music artists with her very distinctive high-register voice. In a review of one of her concerts, The Times Union described that "she'll let loose with an improbably long note that runs through more octaves than you knew existed."
Born on Mar. 10, 1983, Underwood started her singing career when she was young, performing at their church in Muskogee, Oklahoma. The singer finally skyrocketed to fame in 2005 following her win on the hit competition series "American Idol."
After her big success from the TV show, Underwood went on to win the hearts and minds of Americans as she was able to release several songs that fans truly loved, like "Jesus, Take the Wheel," "How Great Thou Art," "Cowboy Casanova," "Two Black Cadillacs," and many more.
Behind all the glitz and glamor, Underwood is a simple person whenever she's with her beloved family. In 2008, she started dating NHL player Mike Fisher after they met at her concert.
Almost a year after their first meeting, the two got engaged and got married in Georgia in July 2010.
Their life became even more colorful after they were blessed with two lovely children, Isaiah Michael, in 2015 and Jacob Bryan, in 2019.
The family had been living in Nashville, Tennessee after they tied the knot, and her husband became a full-time father to their kids as Underwood continued performing and releasing songs.
Despite having a flourishing career and thousands, or even millions, of fans from around the world, Carrie Underwood knows that her career will not last forever, and it was not her number one priority in life.
In a 2016 interview with Express, before she took the stage of the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York City, the musician opened up about the most important thing in her life, which was being a mother to her children.
"At the end of the day everything that I'm doing now is going to fade but I'm going to be a mom until the day I die, so that's more important," she told the outlet.
She added that years after the conversation, people would only remember her name, and that's the way any job is, but she will continue being a mom and a wife for the rest of her life.
In May 2023, Underwood struck a deal with Resorts World Las Vegas to have her own residency.
Despite her busy schedule at the time, the musician still finds a way to be a present mother to her children, as she loves being a mom.
Speaking with Vegas Magazine, the singer said, "In addition to what I get to do on stage, I go to baseball practice. It's wonderfully ordinary, and I love that. In a lot of ways, I lead a double life. I'm mom at home, and then I fly away to Vegas or to go on tour."
Underwood got all of her motherly instincts from none other than her mom herself, Carole Underwood.

In July 2023, the country songstress shared several photos of what she and some of her family members did in Las Vegas, and it was Carole Underwood's idea.
It appears that her mom was fearless, as she was the one who asked the singer and her sisters to get matching tattoos.
"When your 74-year-old mother asks you and your sisters to get matching tattoos with her in Vegas," she wrote in a post.
The singer noted that she never expected that her mom would have a tattoo as she wrote, "I never would've thought I'd see the day that Mama Carole would be gettin' some ink!"
As seen in the snaps shared on the social media platform, the Underwood girls got matching heart tattoos in different parts of their bodies.
Her mom got the ink on her wrist, while the singer appeared to have had it on her right foot.
After sharing the photos, fans immediately bombarded the comment section with supportive comments as one user wrote, "Mama Carole looks sooo happy! Love it. Delicate and sweet."
"Omg your mom is darling, that huge smile! She's so stoked to get tatted with her girls," another one wrote.
This was not the first time the singer got tattoos with a group of people, as she also got inked along with her sisters-in-law during a trip in May 2023.
In the photos, it appears that the four got different designs, like flowers, a star, and a flock of birds.
"It's true that you don't get to choose your family, but if I could, I would choose these exact three women to be my sisters-in-law!," she gushed about her husband's sisters.
