Caring Mailman Comes Up With Clever Plan To Keep Customers’ Packages Safe From Mail Thieves

Karissa Basalyga shared a recent experience she had with her mailman. Far from being a complaint, Karissa explained how pleased and surprised she was by the lengths the mailman would go to in order that her mail stayed safe.

While some mailmen would be happy to just leave a package on your porch in plain view of possible thieves to see, Karissa's mailman was unwilling to take any risks.

He began a conversation with Karissa using her Ring.com Doorbell.

He told her that he was not comfortable just leaving the package outside the door especially as it was from a relative.

The mailman tells Karissa that the package is from her uncle 'Michael'. Even though Karissa said that it was fine, he came up with a secret hiding spot that only he and Karissa would know of.

He placed the package inside the recycling bin outside her front door.

He was even careful enough to lean into the camera just in case anyone was listening in on their plan.

The mailman's instincts were correct. The package contained rare coins from Karissa's uncle that would have been irreplaceable.

This protective mailman has become a sensation after Karissa shared her Ring.com Doorbell footage.

We all appreciate what the mail service does around the country, but this particular deliverer seems to be taking his role as a protector of mail to a new level.
