Bus Driver Suspicious When 92-Yr-Old At Stop Doesn’t Board, Jumps To His Feet Upon Seeing His Face

Mike Blair, a bus driver in Las Vegas, knows it is important to watch out for his passenger’s health during the sweltering summer months. Heat stroke and dehydration can happen very quickly, especially for those who are very old.
One day in August, Blair saw an elderly man standing alone at a bus stop. He seemed to be in distress, leaning up against a wall nearby. When he didn’t get on the bus, Blair became anxious for his safety. He escorted the man onto the bus personally. He wanted the man to get on the bus and out of the heat.
After he had the man sit down, Blair remembered that he had a water bottle in his lunch box, which he offered to the stranger. The man accepted.
The elderly man rested for about 10 minutes before insisting that he was better. He told Blair that he was 92-years-old as he got off the bus. He also gave him his sincere thanks.

Blair was unaware that a passenger on the bus had taken a picture of the moment.
Brent Leabu was that passenger. He shared the photo and story online, and it didn’t take long for it to gain attention nationwide. Blair was unaware of his growing popularity until his employer, Keolis Transit, showed him.
He joked that he would have to learn how to “do Twitter” since he isn’t very social media savvy.
The company even threw Blair a small party the next day, complete with balloons, a cake, and a gift. Keolis has also pledged to provide their bus drivers with 10,000 bottles of waters to give out to passengers during the summer months.
Blair said that he doesn’t believe he did anything special. He thinks anyone would have done what he did if they were faced with the choice.
