Bruce Willis is one of the most legendary Hollywood actors of all time. He is most famous for his roles in action films but has also shown to have quite a diverse set of talents, appearing in films and television shows in a variety of genres and even showing off his skills as a singer. On top of that, Bruce is also adored for his amazing qualities as a husband and father.
Bruce was born Walter Bruce Willis on March 19, 1955, in Idar-Oberstein, Germany. He grew up with a German mother and an American father, who was stationed there by the United States military at the time of his birth. In 1957, the family moved to the U.S. and raised Bruce in Penns Grove, New Jersey.
Bruce had his breakthrough in 1985 with the TV series “Moonlighting,” and has since appeared in more than 70 films. Some of his most loved performances include in the films “Pulp Fiction,” “Armageddon,” “The Sixth Sense,” and his portrayal of John McClane in the “Die Hard” franchise.
In his private life, Bruce had some ups and downs when it came to finding love. He married twice and is the father of five daughters. Willis first married actress Demi Moore in 1987, and the two had three daughters together: Rumer Willis, Scout Willis and Tallulah Willis. Bruce and Moore divorced in 2000, but they remained good friends and great co-parents ever since. They also became grandparents for the first time after Rumer welcomed her first child on April 18, 2023. He then married model Emma Hemming in 2009 and they share two children.
After retiring from acting in March 2022, Bruce is concentrating on being the best father he can, despite also facing health challenges.

Bruce and Heming have two daughters, Mabel Willis and Evelyn Willis. In 2017, Bruce spoke highly of finding love with Heming. “I don’t want to be away from Emma at all,” he told Closer Weekly. “It’s the most singular relationship I’ve ever had in my life.”
Bruce’s big blended family gets along well and even regularly takes photos together for social media. In March 2022, they also stepped in to take care of him after he was diagnosed with aphasia, after which he retired from acting. The condition disrupts a person’s ability to communicate and understand speech. Despite the setback, Willis, Heming, Moore and daughters Rumer, Scout and Tallulah have moved forward as a strong family unit and continue to give the “12 Monkeys” star the support and love he needs.
On Instagram, Heming and Moore wrote:
“This is a really challenging time for our family and we are so appreciative of your continued love, compassion and support. We are moving through this as a strong family unit, and wanted to bring his fans in because we know how much he means to you, as you do to him.”
Bruce is a regular feature on his loved ones’ social media. Moore posted photos of the family enjoying the year-end holidays in 2022 together, while Heming uploaded a highlight reel of the same year. Tallulah also got into the action, posting goofy photos of her with her beloved dad.
The closeness of his entire family today is a testament to Bruce’s skills as a father. Bruce continues to spend as much time as possible with his family and has created lasting memories for them to share, such as by spending a special day out at Splash Mountain.

On June 1, 2023, Heming shared a heartwarming montage video showing a fun day out for the family at Disneyland in Anaheim, California. One clip in the video showed Bruce smiling from ear to ear as he, Heming and one of their daughters braced for the thrilling theme park ride, Splash Mountain. The ever-so-protective father even placed his arm across the front of the little girl to assure her all would be well as she held on tightly to him. He also joined her in a fit of laughter at the end of the ride. With his hand cradling her face, Bruce could be heard saying, “You gotta watch out, I think we’re going to go again!”
More photos in the montage also showed Rumer, Scout and Tallulah sharing in the family fun and jumping in on one of the rides. Heming captioned the post:
“You bet this family will be back for more fun and laughs when you reopen as Tiana Bayou! Thanks for all the memories Splash Mountain.”
Heming was referring to the fact that Disney planned to refurbish the ride in line with its 2009 film, “The Princess and the Frog.”
Fans couldn’t get enough of the beautiful bond between Bruce and his loving family, and lauded him for being so caring towards his daughter.
“Awe! He’s doing the dad safety belt ❤️,” one commenter wrote, while another said, “I love how he’s protecting her with his arm! Dad instincts, so sweet. ❤️”
Many also expressed how lovely it was to see snapshots of the family enjoying happy times. One user wrote:
