Bruce Willis & Demi Moore Are ‘Excited’ Grandparents Of Rumer Willis’ First Child Louetta

Bruce Willis is best known for his time as an actor. Sadly, the star announced his retirement on March 30, 2022, but has since received plenty of support from his fans, friends, and family members. Bruce had been a pivotal figure in the acting world for more than 40 years, which is why fans and loved ones were left heartbroken when they heard the news that he was retiring. During his acting career, Bruce appeared in a variety of films and television shows. Some of his most popular films include “Pulp Fiction,” “Armageddon,” “The Sixth Sense,” “Looper” and the “Die Hard” franchise.

Bruce has been married twice and is the father of five. He married actress Demi Moore in 1987, and the two had three daughters together: Rumer Willis, Scout Willis, and Tallulah Willis. Although the couple was regarded as a Hollywood powerhouse, they ended up divorcing in 2000 but have remained good friends and great co-parents ever since.

Rumer has gone on to become a star in her own right. Born on Aug. 16, 1988, Rumer grew up with a similar love for the entertainment industry, just like her famous parents. She has appeared in films and TV shows, including “Hostage,” “The House Bunny,” “Sorority Row,” “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” and “90210.”

Although the Willis family is enveloped with sadness and plight because of the patriarch’s illness, they surely had a beaming ray of sunshine when Rumer’s daughter came into the world, making the famed actor and actress official grandparents. On April 5, 2023, Rumer sat down with People Magazine to talk about the impending birth that she said had given her family a welcome boost during such a challenging time. She said she hoped her child would be imbued with the same “goofiness” inherent in her family.

“We’re a family of weirdos, and I love that so much. I really hope that that is engendered in this child. That’s my favorite thing, laughing with my family,” she told the outlet.

Rumer said she chose not to know the sex of the baby ahead of the birth but did plan to follow in her mother’s footsteps and opted for a home birth. 

“I think it was always my plan to do it unmedicated. That’s how my mom did it, and I grew up knowing that,” she revealed.

On March 28, 2023, Rumer took to Instagram to share an update on her baby bump. The actress looked cozy in her plaid dress, matched with a snuggly sienna-colored cardigan. 

“It’s not always easy finding things that are comfortable and make you feel good when you’re growing a tiny human but these are two companies. I absolutely love. I hope you enjoy them too,” she said in the caption of her photos while hugging her baby bump. 

On April 18, 2023, Rumer gave birth to Bruce and Moore’s first grandchild. In an Instagram post announcing her birth, Rumer delighted her followers, friends, and family members with the first photo of her beautiful daughter. 

“✨ Louetta Isley Thomas Willis ✨ You are pure magic 🌱,” Rumer wrote in the caption. “Born at home on Tuesday Apr. 18. You are more than we ever dreamed of ✨”

Louetta’s first photo was overflowing with cuteness, and sent some of her relatives’ hearts fluttering at the sight of her, including her stepmother, Emma Heming: "Omg we love her so so much 😍😍😍😍😍" 

Moore, on the other hand, confessed her love for her first grandchild in the same post: "Pure love for this little birdie ❤️." "Hi my tiny petal. We missed you so much for so long. I'll love you every moment of every day! Youre kooky aunts are obsessed with you," Tallulah, Rumer's sister, commented on the post. 

Notably, Louetta’s arrival at the family was marked as a first as Rumer was the first among Bruce’s children to have a child. Speaking to People Magzine about the arrival of her daughter at the time, Rumer had this to say:

"(My parents) are so excited. My sisters are so excited, and it's so fun to be bringing in the first grandkid in our family, especially because we're such a huge group at this point.” 

Demi, Rumer’s mother, celebrated her first Mother’s Day as a Grandmother in 2023. The internet gushed about Demi’s Mother’s Day post. With the caption “Circle of Life. Happy Mother’s Day!” the actress got everyone nostalgic and delighted in her photo carousel that celebrates motherhood! 

In the first photo, Demi made a sizzling hot grandma as she wore a bikini while dearly holding a sleeping little Louetta. The first-time grandmother was all smiles in her aviator glasses, enjoying the perfect Mother’s Day gift! In the second photo, Demi hugged a then-laboring Rumer, who was moments away from motherhood. The last photo was a stunner, as Demi went full circle in a nostalgic reminder of her maternity shoot when she had Rumer in the 80s. 

Demi wasn’t the only person in the family ecstatic to meet little Louetta. Although Bruce expressed that he wanted a “grandson” because there’s a lot of “female energy” already in the family, he was still delighted with the arrival of Louetta. 

In a Fathers’ Day Post on June 19, 2023, Rumer shared an incredibly rare moment between her father and her daughter where Bruce was carrying Louetta. 

“Seeing my father hold my daughter today was something I will treasure for the rest of my life. His sweetness and love for her was so pure and beautiful. Papa, I’m so lucky to have you and so is Lou. Thank you for being the silliest, most loving, coolest Daddio a girl could ask for. Best Girl Dad in the game,” she said in the caption. 

Demi is working together with Bruce’s current wife, Heming, as they come together as one big happy family to work together for the patriarch’s health and recovery. Despite the movie star's health condition, the Willis-Heming-Moore family remains optimistic. Radar Online learned from an insider that Bruce is "determined to stay coherent and lucid" as long as possible to be present and active for his grandchildren and the entire family.  

Fans and movie lovers worldwide were shocked in March 2022 when Willis’ family announced he was diagnosed with aphasia. The condition is one that makes the victim have difficulty in communication and language processing. In a statement, the family explained that the condition would impact Willis’ cognitive abilities and noted that it was a challenging time for them. 

On many occasions, the entire family comes together and bonds with Bruce amid his worrying health condition. The entire family celebrated Bruce’s 68th Birthday on March 19, 2023, as seen on multiple photos on Instagram shared by Rumer.
