Britney Spears Calls Out Father James and Sister Jamie Lynn In Expletive-Filled Post

Britney Spears has become one of the most talked-about celebrities today due to the ongoing court battle regarding her legal conservatorship case.

Like many celebrities who have felt the glare of fame from a young age, Britney went through a tumultuous time in the late 2000s. Constantly being plagued by cameras and paparazzi isn't easy to manage no matter how much experience you have, but Spears was overcome by the difficulties. Her public 'breakdown' in 2007 made her an object of public scrutiny for years.

Her erratic behavior also led to her father becoming her legal conservator. A conservatorship is usually granted for individuals who are unable to make their own decisions, like those with dementia or other mental illnesses — and Britney's father has essentially managed her life and finances for more than 13 years.

With the release of the documentary "Framing Britney Spears" in February 2021 and the ongoing "Free Britney" movement that calls into question the continued need for her legal conservatorship, Spears's case has become extremely important today.

Though Britney had a bump along the way with her case, a judge ruled on July 15, 2021, that Britney can choose her own lawyer in the fight to end her conservatorship. This news came as a welcome change for the singer, who had been dealt with a blow after a judge denied her request to end her controversial conservatorship even after her explosive testimony.

With everything out in the open now, Britney has taken to social media to slam those closest to her, and in an expletive-filled post, called out her father and sister for their silence through the years.

Britney uploaded a photo on her Instagram with the quote, "Never forget who ignored you when you needed them and who helped you before you even asked." She included a long caption with the photo, where she made her anger clear and wrote, "There’s nothing worse than when the people closest to you who never showed up for you post things in regard to your situation whatever it may be and speak righteously for support … there’s nothing worse than that !!!!"

She continued, "How dare the people you love the most say anything at all … did they even put a hand out to even lift me up at the TIME !!!??? How dare you make it public that NOW you CARE … did you put your hand out when I was drowning ????"

While her first post was indirectly slamming those "closest" to her, it was not clear who exactly she was talking about. However, VOX reported that fans suspected that Britney had addressed among others her sister Jamie Lynn. In a post uploaded on July 18, 2021, Britney confirmed these suspicions as she detailed her thoughts further in an expletive-filled post.

She firstly disapproved of people who criticized her homemade dancing videos and wrote, "look I'm not gonna be performing on any stages anytime soon with my dad handling what I wear, say, do, or think 🚫🙅🏼‍♀️ 🚫!!!! I've done that for the past 13 years ..." She also alluded to the fact that her time as a performer in Vegas was stressful and that even though she didn't mind performing, "it would have been nice to be able to go to the [expletive] spa 💆🏼‍♀️🤭🧖🏼‍♀️ !!!!"

Britney continued, "And no I'm not gonna put on heavy makeup and try try try on stage again and not be able to do the real deal with remixes of my songs for years and begging to put my new music in my show for MY fans ... so I quit !!!!"

She also called out her sister in the post, "I don't like that my sister showed up at an awards show and performed MY SONGS to remixes !!!!! My so-called support system hurt me deeply !!!! This conservatorship killed my dreams ..."

The singer elaborated, "so all I have is hope and hope is the only thing in this world that is very hard to kill ... yet people still try !!!!" Britney also made it clear that she did not like being "humiliated" by the documentaries, and told people who do not believe in fairy tales to leave her alone as she depended on hope from fairy tales to get her through difficult times. Her essential message was "if you don't like what you see, unfollow me !!!"

Britney was granted permission to have a new attorney and this has given the singer renewed hope that her conservatorship will end soon. Britney's request to have Mathew S Rosengart as her attorney was approved, and it may be a turning point for the singer's controversial case. Rosengart will reportedly be questioning the very need for conservatorship in the first place.

Britney's previous lawyer, Sam Ingham, has been paid millions by the Spears Estate over the years according to The Guardian and has never petitioned to end the conservatorship. Rosengart now acting as Britney's new attorney may be a turning point for the star.
