Most notably, Moynahan played a significant role in Keannu Reeves’ American neo-noir action thriller film series “John Wick.” She played Reeves’ character’s wife, Helen Wick, in multiple movies — including the first film, “John Wick: Chapter 2” and “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum.”
Like many celebrities in Hollywood, Moynahan’s beauty has remained timeless over the years. She first gained prominence as Natasha Naginsky in the American romantic comedy-drama television series “Sex and the City,” and it's remained one of her most prominent roles.
Apart from her television and movie career, Moynahan has also had a colorful personal life that led her to rediscover herself in various ways. She famously dated NFL star Tom Brady and had a son with him months after they separated. As for Moynahan, she finally found the love of her life with her husband Andrew Frankel, and is living a life with an extended and blended family. Read on to learn more about Moynahan’s dynamic family and how everything fell into place after her split with the football star.
Formally known as Kathryn Bridget Moynahan, the “Six Degrees” actress was born in Binghamton, New York, on April 28, 1971. She was born to former school teacher Mary Bridget and scientist Edward Bradley and was the second child in the family. Moynahan has an older brother Andy who works as a computer programmer, and Sean, her younger brother, who is a potter. When she was 7 years old, her family moved to Massachusetts, prompting her to attend Longmeadow High School.
Growing up, she described herself as a tomboy, but her early interests did not stop her from pursuing a modeling career after graduating high school. After booking department store modeling gigs in Springfield, Massachusetts, Moynahan, at 18 years old, moved to the Big Apple and started appearing on the covers of Vogue, Elle and even Glamour.
After a flurry of modeling gigs, Moynahan ventured into acting and started booking shampoo commercials. She eventually found herself booking the role of Natasha Naginsky on the Emmy Award-winning HBO show “Sex and the City.”
Despite how modern her characters are in film and television, Moynahan is actually a traditional girl. Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar, Moynahan revealed that she thinks there should be “a strong male figure” in his child’s life.
"I'm a traditional girl, and I believe in marriage, and I always thought that's the way I'd be doing this. For a moment, it was hard for me to accept that this was the way I was going to have a family."
Moynahan is alluding to the fact that despite not wanting to raise a child alone, she was forced into that scenario when she found out that she was pregnant after separating from her then-boyfriend, Brady.

In 2007, Moynahan confirmed to People Magazine that she was carrying her child with Brady — John Edward “Jack” Moynahan.
Moynahan told Harper’s Bazaar that welcoming a child amid a media frenzy was “traumatic.”
This shocked everyone as Brady began dating model Giselle Bündchen. Brady and Moynahan decided to co-parent, and the football player ended up getting married to Bündchen in 2009. In her memoir, Bündchen admitted that the news of Moynahan's pregnancy turned her world 'upside down
Likewise, Moynahan also thought that there should be no reason that her son would grow up and find disturbing things about her parents because of the media coverage about them.
Because of the intense scrutiny and coverage of them, Moynahan wrote in her memoir, "Our Shoes, Our Selves," that “having a baby should have been the most joyous time” of her life, but instead, she “felt assaulted."
As for Brady, he initially planned not to have any children until his 30s, but like Bündchen and Moynahan, he was also surprised that the latter was carrying her oldest child.
Despite everything she had gone through, Moynahan said that there's “not a second” she regretted having a child on her own.
"I have become that mother I used to dread. Every time he does something, you think he's a genius. He's a genius,” she said about raising Jack on her own.
But as the years go by, Brady and Moynahan decide to co-parent Jack. This complicated family dynamic is not traditional, but it seems that they make it work for them. Moynahan and Bündchen make an effort to work together and get along, and the same goes for Brady as well.

As for Moynahan and her belief that her child should have a “strong male figure” in his life and that she wanted to raise them with an equal to her life, “as a partner, a lover, a friend,” Moynahan found that in his husband. In 2015, Moynahan married businessman Andrew Frankel at a ceremony in the Hamptons.
After their short engagement, the couple had invited their closest friends in a private ceremony. They were actually blindsided because the invite said that it was a harvest moon ceremony, not knowing that Frankel and Moynahan were finally tying the knot.
Moynahan was very detailed about her laid-back, farm-style, and rustic intimate wedding. The custom J. Mendel fall wedding dress was anything she had hoped for. Fans couldn’t be more happy for Moynahan as she finally got her happy ending after suffering intense media scrutiny and backlash after her split with Brady decades ago. Many greeted her on her special day as she walked down a luscious greenery that spanned acres.
Moynahan’s family dynamics are actually a nightmare for “traditional” women, but she is anything but thankful for it now. Although she and Frankel do not have any children, she is the stepmother to Frankel’s three children from her previous marriage. On Brady and Bündchen’s side, they have two children – Vivien and Benjamin.
In an interview with More Magazine, as quoted by Us Magazine, Moynahan had this to say about their blended family:
“My son has two loving parents and an extended family, whether it's cousins or stepmothers or boyfriends. My son is surrounded by love."
