Brian May Of Queen Performs 'Love Of My Life' And Moves Fans To Tears

The members of Queen started out as just a bunch of college kids with no real aspirations to make it big in the music world. Brian May was one of the most influential guys on the team in the beginning. He’s often regarded as the brains behind the group. It’s no coincidence that Brian is described as a genius on many levels. The talented guitarist was studying physics when he met Freddie Mercury. Brian even dedicated enough time to finish his physics degree in 1968. It wasn’t long before the band received international notoriety for their iconic sounds.

This bright physicist didn’t stop his education after he became famous. He completed his second degree for astrophysics in 2017. He’s spent the last few years as a legitimate collaborator with NASA, and he’s currently working alongside some of the smartest people on the face of the earth. This guy touches the hearts of millions on a daily basis through his musical art, and he’s also putting his effort towards creating a brighter future for the entire planet.

It’s no doubt that Brian May is one of the greatest musicians alive, and his catalog of hit songs backs that up. The most memorable tracks recorded by Queen were completely created by Brian. “Who Wants To Live Forever” was written on a ride home from the studio after seeing some test footage for the movie “Highlander”. He seems to come up with massive singles on a whim. All of that creative influence came to a screeching halt when Mercury passed away. The band was put on hold for years, and Brian focused on enjoying the success he found in life. It was hard for him to go on without his best friend by his side, and the common troubles of life seemed to beat him down even further. His marriage failed, and John Deacon quit playing guitar for the group after Mercury’s death.

Now the band is back on the road, and they’ve found a replacement for Mercury’s raw talent. Adam Lambert was recruited after his appearance on American Idol. Queen was back on tour, and they were giving their best performances in Japan. Brian still has that incredible spark he was known for. His voice expresses all of the pain he feels for the loss of his friend. Those familiar notes seem to cover the crowd in a sheet of total silence.

The huge gathering of people are pouring their hearts out with every word, and it really does make for a fitting tribute to the late Freddie Mercury. Queen was always focused on bringing different groups of people together for a single cause. They were one of the first rock bands of their generation to dedicate full concerts to charity. There’s just an unforgettable quality about this beautiful rendition of the popular song.
