For many, being able to see is something that they don't think about. It's one of the senses that is often taken for granted until it's gone.
If someone couldn't see, it might be hard to describe colors, animals, and other objects that you see on a daily basis. Eye surgery is an option for some people who qualify, giving them the ability to see after losing their sight or for the first time in life. Animals can have eye surgery as well, which is what this dog had so that he could see again.
The Irish Terrier had lost his vision when he was younger.
When his eyes were healed from the surgery, his reaction to being able to see things again was captured on video for everyone to see.

Duffy has diabetes, which led to his blindness and a few other health issues.
Doctors were able to get his diabetes under control using medication, but he wasn't able to see any longer. He couldn't see the family members who took care of him or the toys that he played with.
Doctors approved Duffy for his eye surgery, and his family was thankful because they knew what it would mean for their furry friend. When Duffy is finally able to see, he walks right over to his owners like he has been seeing them the whole time.
He also lets out a few cries of joy.
Watch this lovable dog enjoy having his vision back by playing at home and interacting with the people who care about him. Did you find this video as tear-inducing as we did? Let us know in the comments.
