Music power couple Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani settled into a simpler life away from the glitz and glamor of the spotlight since they got married. Following their highly-publicized courtship, the pair agreed on reclining to a more private life. Shelton and Stefani are now focused on family and the essence of it all. This was what an insider revealed during an interview with OK Magazine.

As fans of the couple would recall, Shelton and Stefani's relationship played out in the public eye right from when they met and bonded on the set of "The Voice" in 2015. Before they became an item, the former music coaches went through a divorce in the same period. Stefani ended her marriage with singer Gavin Rossdale, while Shelton divorced fellow country star, Miranda Lambert. They dated for over five years, during which they got to know each other better, as well as joining their blended family.

The dynamics of Shelton and Stefani's love life became even better amid the novel coronavirus pandemic. The couple had to stay together on their 1300-acre Oklahoma ranch with Stefani's sons. During this period, the lovebirds settled into family life. The following year, Shelton proposed to the "Rich Girl" crooner, and they got married at a chapel built by Shelton on the Oklahoma ranch.

After the duo tied the knot, it is safe to say that there was a shift in their priorities. Both being seasoned musicians with fame and fortune, Shelton and his wife decided to recline into a simple life away from the spotlight. Stefani retired from "The Voice" in 2022, and Shelton announced his exit in 2023.

Being married meant Stefani and Shelton joined their blended family, which includes her three kids, Zuma, Kingston and Apollo, from her marriage to Rossdale. Once speaking about his family life after their wedding, Shelton revealed that he was in a new phase of his life that required focus.

This he shared with Entertainment Tonight in a 2022 chat. The "God's Country" singer revealed that while he loved his music career, he believed he now had something far more essential to focus on — family. He stated:

"Look, I love music, and I love 'The Voice.' I love all the cool things I get to do with my job, but those things all take a backseat now to Gwen and the kids, and it's just a new phase of my life."

He reaffirmed his affection for the kids and accepted his role as a stepdad when speaking on KFrog. Shelton stated that he took his fatherhood role seriously and enjoyed it. The star noted that he was used to having the children around and that he could not imagine his life without them.

Speaking with People, the award-winning country star relayed that bonding with Stefani's kids helped him learn more about himself. He relayed that they helped him realize he was more than "just a country singer or a goofy guy." Shelton stated that his beloved stepkids helped him know he was someone they could lean on.

On her part, Stefani is grateful for her man. When Shelton received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Stefani did not hold back on her affection for him. She addressed her spouse, letting him know she and their sons were proud of him.

Stefani talked about how she envisioned herself taking care of children and never being romantically involved with anyone again. However, all that changed when she met the "God Gave Me You" singer. Stefani stated that she thought her life was over, and then "Blake Shelton's like, 'Hey, I'm Blake Shelton.'"

It is safe to say that the couple is happy with the life they have years after putting in the work in their careers. Shelton believes that the next step in his life involves his stepsons. He stated to People that if he walked away from his career, his only regret would be missing out on important things, and to him, this meant quality time with the children.

The insider reiterated the couple's choice of a simpler life, telling OK Magazine that Shelton and Stefani were content being away from fame. The source revealed
