While dogs may seem obedient when you're around, they may be far from it when you're away from home. An Australian man captured a pair of dogs in their owner's backyard. In the clip, uploaded this year, the dogs were engaged in typically forbidden behavior.

An Australian TikTok user who uses the name @saxby2.0 was driving home from work, as the Daily Mail Australia reported. Through his open window, he enjoyed some fresh air and the fading daylight from his vehicle's comfort. He also took in the scenery. While the man found his way through the maze of Australian streets, he was surrounded by a mix of commercial and residential properties. As he drove, he turned his head to look both ways before turning.

After rounding one such corner, @saxby2.0 noticed an unusual sight. Since it involved animals, he knew he had to get a closer look. In fact, what he saw was so remarkable that he took out his phone and decided to shoot a video to share on TikTok.

Since hot summer days are often called the "dog days" of summer, dogs outside would not be an unusual sight. After all, being outside is a great way to cool off. Dogs often go on walks, play in the sprinkler, or splash around in the kiddie pool.

Although these dogs looked like a typical golden Labrador and brown pit bull mix, something about them stood out to the brave TikTok user. That something was behavior. These two dogs were doing something that most owners would not encourage in their canine companions.

The dogs were resting to recover from the hot Australian summer. They weren't lying on concrete or even on a dog bed. The pair were perched on a set of lawn chairs.

The dogs were both sitting up in lawn chairs as if they were people. They were side-by-side and appeared to be enjoying the evening together. As the man slowed his car to drive past, he attempted to talk to the dogs. The dogs simultaneously turned to look at the amateur cameraman. It was as if they were saying, "What are you looking at?"
