Best Dresses Worn By Actresses At 2020 Academy Awards

The rain may have pelted down onto the red carpet at the Academy Awards this year, but Hollywood's actresses still shone in their outfits. Black and white and combinations thereof were the highlight of the evening.
One of the best dresses stars of the evening was definitely Scarlett Johansson who shone in a modern Oscar de la Renta corset dress. The silver white ensemble was simple and yet elegant. Also dazzling the audience was Margot Robbie. The Australian actress and producer decided to pay tribute to Claudia Schiffer and wore a vintage Chanel gown featuring lace arm bands as well as a large decorative brooch.

Renée Zellweger opted for a stylish white over-the-shoulder Armani dress. It certainly looked stunning on her! The sparkling silver accents sewn into the classic garment really drew the eye. Zellweger was so assured of her dress's impact that she decided to forego almost all jewelry safe for a single ring. Her outfit certainly didn't suffer for this decision!

Her Dior Haute Couture piece had a peplum waist accent and thigh-high slit - a little bit more daring than her counterpart Zellweger. Her diamond pendant necklace matched her studded earrings perfectly and strappy black heels completed her absolutely stunning outfit.

The British actress, broadway star and lead of "Harriet" wore a wonderful cream hued graphic cut gown with Swarovski crystal embellishments along the torso and a thigh-high slit. The Atelier Versace dress was custom made for the star and certainly fit her perfectly. Her ensemble was made complete by simple white strappy heels.
