Ben Stiller is a driving force in the entertainment world and is known to possess many talents. He is famously known for his prowess as an actor, comedian and director. Ben is also a talented producer and screenwriter.

Ben was born on Nov. 30, 1965, and is the son of the late actors and comedians Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara. It’s not surprising to see that Ben, who had such talented parents, grew up to be incredibly talented himself in the acting department. From TV shows to films, the star has graced several screens across the world and has never stopped making people laugh.

The Hollywood star has continued to bless the entertainment industry with several hilarious and fantastic movies. Aside from being enviably talented, Ben is also a loving father to two children.

Ben’s thriving career has put his personal life, including his family, in the public eye. The award-winning actor recently made a rare red-carpet appearance with his wife, Christine Taylor, and their daughter, Ella Stiller, at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival in June 2023. Seeing the amazing family together on the red carpet got fans in a frenzy.

The comic actor has been married to Taylor for over two decades, and the duo is blessed with two beautiful children. The couple welcomed their first child and daughter, Ella, in April 2002. In July 2005, their second child and son, Quinlin Dempsey Stiller, was born.

Although the Stiller family has endured struggles, they have overcome the hardships thrown their way. Nowadays, fans can’t get enough of how beautiful Ben’s family has grown to be.

Growing up, it was easy for Ben to be inspired by the arts as he was surrounded by his talented parents. In an interview with Parade, he said: "Growing up, I was immersed in it. My sister and I would be with my parents when they'd do a play on Broadway or they'd do summer stock somewhere and we'd tour with them. They were so passionate about it. It seemed like fun."

It’s not hard to see how Ben was influenced by great talent and wanted to expound upon his own talent. Thankfully, he found the means to do so professionally. Early in his career, Ben proved that he was a pretty funny guy. When he was just a teenager, Ben landed a small role with just one line on the television soap opera “Guiding Light.” A few years afterward, he went on to be cast in the 1986 Broadway revival of “The House of Blue Leaves,” which also starred John Mahoney.

Ben and Mahoney teamed up together again for Ben’s satirical mockumentary. He went on to create several parodies that poked fun at notable stars such as Tom Cruise and Paul Newman, as well as accomplished director Martin Scorsese.

As the 1980s came to a close, Ben found himself working on “Saturday Night Live” as a featured performer as he wrote bits and appeared on the show. Unfortunately, the popular show did not work well for him, as the show leaned more toward sketches and less away from short films. Eventually, Ben walked away from the job but did not walk away from television for good.

For a brief period of time, MTV aired “The Ben Stiller Show” — a sketch comedy series that starred Ben alongside several other actors and comedians, such as Bob OdenkirkAndy Dick and John F. O’Donohue. After the program received low ratings, it was canceled and only aired a total of 13 episodes.

Fortunately, Ben was able to find work elsewhere as he had picked up minor roles in a handful of films during the 1990s. He even directed “Reality Bites,” which was released in 1994 and was produced by Danny DeVito. Devito later went on to direct the 2003 film “Duplex,” which starred Ben, as well as Ben’s 2004 film “Along Came Polly.”

Of course, Ben’s comedic work is what made him the legend he is today. Despite having dreams of becoming a director, it was undeniable that Ben was a great actor and always knew how to make people laugh. In 1998, Ben starred in “There’s Something About Mary” alongside Cameron Diaz, which went on to become a great success and long-lasting cult hit.

He started off the 2000s strong as Ben appeared in “Meet the Parents” opposite Robert De Niro. The movie was a hit with fans and critics alike, and it resulted in two sequels.

Moving forward, Ben never forgot how much he loved directing, and he directed his third feature film, “Zoolander.” While Ben also appeared in the movie, there were plenty of other notable stars, including celebrities such as Owen WilsonParis HiltonLenny KravitzHeidi Klum and David Bowie.

Some other notable films that Ben worked on included “Starsky & Hutch,” “Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story” and “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy.” He also voiced an animal in the animated film “Madagascar,” which went on to have two sequels. Another franchise that Ben became instrumental in was “Night at the Museum,” which spawned the sequel “Night at the Museum 2.” Ben worked with Wilson again in the films, as well as late comedic icon Robin Williams.

It wasn’t just the world of films where Ben was a hit, though. He appeared in an episode of the TV series “The King of Queens,” as well as guest appearances on “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and “Arrested Development.”

While the world has certainly grown used to seeing Ben on the big screen or seeing his name in the credits, the world has also grown accustomed to seeing his beautiful family stand together despite going through plenty of tough times. While there have been setbacks in Ben’s marriage, he and his wife have overcome several obstacles.

Being a family of celebrities, Ben and Taylor’s marriage and family have been a part of public knowledge from the onset. The duo got married in 2000, and although they have faced their fair share of hardships, the duo's love continued to strengthen over the years.

It's clear that Ben has many talents and stays busy with constant projects. Still, he has found time for his loved ones. He met his wife while he was directing "Heat Vision and Jack" in 1999, according to Parade. Taylor had come in for an audition and did well.

Ben said that he had just gotten out of a long relationship with actress Jeanne Tripplehorn, and Taylor had also just gotten out of a relationship. The pair went on a date and "clicked." Ben recalled: "We were both on the rebound. And we just jumped. We got married pretty quickly." He explained that they work so well because they "want to make it work" and "laugh a lot."

It seemed to be love at first sight for Stiller and Taylor. Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Ben said: "When I met her, I pretty much thought, 'That's the person.' It was like, 'Wow, this is such a great person. I love her.'"

Their love proved to be worthwhile, and Ben and Taylor committed to each other through marriage. They also starred in some films together, like “Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story,” "Tropic Thunder" and "Zoolander."

Per Hollywood Life, in 2008, Ben revealed that his acting career skills had helped him as a father. He said:

"I think every parent has to sort of be an actor with their kids when they're doing that. You sort of have to commit fully."

Ella and Quinlin have been following in their father's footsteps as an actor. Ella made her debut in the industry with a small voice acting part in the animated film "Megamind" in 2010. She has also starred in "Hubie Halloween" and "Night At The Museum: Secret of The Tomb." Quinlin might not be fully into the entertainment industry, but he did voice acting in "Megamind" and "Madagascar 2." In 2021, he also appeared in "Locked Down."

Back in February 2016, Ben and Taylor revealed their secret to making their marriage last: laughter. Ben said:

"I think you got to laugh. Because you know after a while you know life is life you know? We all have to deal with what life throws at us, so you got to have a sense of humor about it. If you can share that, at the end, it makes a huge difference."

Ben and Taylor have been together through thick and thin. In October 2016, the “Night at the Museum” actor shared that he was diagnosed with prostate cancer two years earlier. He revealed that, fortunately, the "cancer was detected early enough to treat." In February 2016, Ben shared that laughter is the secret to his long-lasting marriage with Taylor.

After revealing the secret of their long-lasting marriage to the world in 2016, the couple gave shocking news of their separation in 2017. The duo stated at the time that they had "tremendous love and respect for each other" and that their children remained their priority. The statement expounded:

"With tremendous love and respect for each other, and the 18 years we spent together as a couple, we have made the decision to separate. Our priority will continue to be raising our children as devoted parents and the closest of friends."

In 2021, the exciting news of the couple's reconciliation made headlines. Although the duo announced their separation, they never officially separated or dated other people. Ben also moved back in with Taylor during the pandemic to spend quality family time with their kids.

He shared with Esquire in 2022:

"We were separated and got back together, and we're happy about that. It's been really wonderful for all of us. Unexpected, and one of the things that came out of the pandemic."

The comedian explained that making a marriage work is a lot like understanding someone's likes and dislikes. Ben mentioned that there was a point in his life where he didn’t enjoy horseback riding. However, he grew to become fond of horses.

“I think they’re beautiful. I like petting them. I like watching people ride horses, I like watching my kids ride horses. I just don’t really love riding horses,” he explained. The comedian continued:

“And once you know that, it just saves a lot of energy. So, yeah, I think we have a respect for the ways that we’re similar and the ways we’re different. And I think accepting that, you can really appreciate someone more because you’re not trying to get them to change for you. Once you accept that, you save a lot of energy.”

Ben added: “‘This is something that works for me; this is something that doesn’t work for me.’ If you have that trust level with your partner, you know that me saying ‘I don’t like doing that thing’ is not me saying ‘I don’t like you.’”

While Ben and Taylor’s reunion surely made an impact on their household, the family’s news also went public — and people were pleased to know that their love could stand the test of time despite some bumps in the road. The amazing family made a rare family appearance following their reconciliation that had admirers gushing.

Ben and Ella showed their support for Taylor during the June 11, 2023, Tribeca debut of "Let Liv," which is a short film she starred in. The film chronicles the story of a young alcoholic woman who is forced to challenge her past. While trying to "confront the demons from her past," she shockingly runs into her mother, whom she has been separated from for years.

The family rocked coordinated black outfits for the intriguing red carpet-appearance at the premiere. The star of the evening dazzled in a black short-sleeved mini dress that she paired with matching heels. On the other hand, Ben rocked a black suit paired nicely with sneakers. Their daughter, Ella, was styled in a black mini dress and strappy heels.

A lot of fans were shocked to see the couple together and took to Facebook to comment on their captivating appearance. The image that People shared got a lot of reactions from fans who dashed to the comment section. A fan commented: "They're so cute together. I'm glad they reconciled." Another fan joined in, "It's hard to tell which is the mother and which is the daughter!!!"

While a lot of fans were commenting on the pair's reconciliation and Taylor's mesmerizing look, some fans could not help but point out Ella's striking resemblance in the family. A fan commented, "She looks like her grandmother." A second Facebook user commented, "She reminds me of her Grandma, Ann." Another user wrote, "Ella looks so much like both of them!" Although, one user negatively said, "The daughter looks older than the mother."

Despite the ups and downs that the Stiller household has endured, it’s safe to say that they will always know how to make people smile.
