Ben Affleck Purchased T-Shirt With 'Woke Up Sexy As Hell Again' Slogan During Hamptons Shopping Trip With Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s second chance at love shocked many people. The pair were the talk of the town in the early 2000s when they first got together. Their portmanteau, “Bennifer,” became a symbol of their impending union as many people looked forward to their wedding, which never happened. Lopez and Affleck’s wedding was postponed in 2003 in hopes that they would get married in 2004, but they split and called it quits. 

The twosome went on to marry other people. Lopez married Marc Anthony in 2004 and had two children with him, fraternal twins Emme and Maximilian, while Affleck tied the knot with actress Jennifer Garner in 2005, and shares three children, Violet Anne, Seraphina Rose and Samuel, with her. Lopez split from Anthony in 2014, while Affleck and Garner ended things in 2015.

While many were still trying to figure out who Lopez would move on with following her break up with Alex Rodriguez, pictures of her and Affleck in cozy situations started springing up. That the two stars who went their separate ways almost two decades earlier would get back together was totally unexpected. 

However, the couple had a fan who was overjoyed to hear they were back together. Lopez’s mother, Guadalupe, said she wasn’t surprised that they rekindled their love and confessed that she prayed for 20 years for them to come back together. Lopez and Affleck tied the knot in July 2022 and have been waxing strong since then.

On Aug. 1, 2023, the lovebirds visited a store in the Hamptons where Affleck purchased a T-shirt with a hilarious print. The store posted pictures of an employee and Lopez and another photo of the shirt on their Instagram page. Continue reading for more details. 

Lopez and Affleck have worked hard at their relationship, which the singer considers a second chance at finding love with each other. Shortly after they started dating for a second time in 2021, a source told People that Affleck and Lopez “are madly in love” and “the loves of each other’s lives.” Another source close to Lopez shared: 

“They want to do everything they can to make this work.” 

The source also revealed that the actress’s children didn’t mind starting over in LA, where their mom and Affleck were planning to start over. As for Lopez, the source disclosed that she never blamed Affleck or felt bad toward him despite her heartbreak after they split. 

“Even though their split many years ago was devastating for Jennifer, she has never had a bad word to say about Ben,” the source explained. “She believes that it just wasn’t meant to be then and feels like they’ve been given a second chance.” 

Meanwhile, Lopez’s kids also found Affleck to be a good stepdad. For Affleck, whose children are his most priceless possession, he seems to be a good dad to his kids and a great stepdad to Lopez’s twins. The same also goes for Lopez, who respects Garner and is a good stepmom to her spouse’s three children too. The five kids all seem to relate well with their step-siblings.

On July 16, 2023, the duo celebrated their first anniversary in style. Lopez and Affleck first had dinner in a restaurant in California where the multi-hyphenate stepped out in a white mini-dress, silver-heeled shoes and a green purse. On the other hand, Affleck wore a sleek black sweater, pants and shoes. They also went out with the kids earlier that day.

Almost a month after their anniversary, the actors went into a store in the Hamptons on Aug. 1, 2023. While at the Flying Point Surf and Skate store in Southampton, New York, Affleck bought a T-shirt with a hilarious caption. The inscription read, “Woke Up Sexy As Hell Again.”

“They were very friendly to the staff and were both very happy that afternoon,” a source told People. “After exiting, they smiled and started walking down the sidewalk to continue their day.”

The store also posted the news of the Hollywood couple’s visit to their place on its Instagram page. 

“Surprise visit from two of our favorites... @jlo & Ben Affleck,” the caption read. “They picked out one of our favorite T-shirts!!😍.”

Lopez and a store employee looked toward the camera in the post, smiling in the first slide. The next image showed a stock photo of the T-shirt that the couple bought during their visit. 

Fans of the “Maid in Manhattan” actress couldn’t help but gush over the pictures. 

“How lucky you are to have met bennifer, she looks very feminine 💕🌟🌟👏👌👍,” a fan remarked. 

A second fan commented, “Queen Of Queens 😍😍😍😍😍.”

“Congratulations Ben and Jennifer,” a third fan wrote and added six red hearts to their comment. 

Several others also reacted to the post by calling Lopez a queen or gushing over the couple. Some also opined that the couple chose the right store to shop from. 

Affleck and Lopez’s visit to the Hamptons came shortly after her 54th birthday on July 24, 2023. The songstress celebrated the occasion in great style and shared a picture of herself dancing on a table during her birthday bash. Lopez looked stunning on her day as she wore a lovely silver dress.
