The events that transpired during Schlager Champions earlier this year were very unexpected. For those that attended the event, it was a night to remember. Renowned Italian balladeer Andrea Bocelli and German songstress Helene Fischer brought some of the listeners to tears with their performance of a love song called 'if only.'

The two voices were in perfect harmony as the two singers took the stage. Bocelli started the song with his 'god-like' tenor. His voice had already left the audience speechless and in awe, before the beautiful Helene Fischer joined him on stage with her angelic voice. It was as if the gates of heaven were open, and the angels were singing.

Most people in attendance felt chills run down their spine as Helene slowly walked towards Bocelli, looked at him, and sang the chorus with him.

The performance was so inspiring that some people felt so overwhelmed by emotions. Those strong enough managed to get their phones out and capture the historic performance live on their smart phones.

The performance was so touching that it felt as if the two singers were driven by a divine purpose. If you have ever been to a wedding that involved two people that you knew were in love, you know how touching the ceremony can get. Without any exaggeration, Bocelli's and Fischer's performance sparked more feelings than that.

Both singers have an amazing history. Andrea Bocelli started learning music from age 6 and went on to captivate the opera with his amazing voice. He received one of the highest honors in his home country - he became an Italian Grand Officer in 2006.

In 2010, he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. On the other hand, Helene Fischer has received numerous international awards for her singing.

The incredible duet performance showed what happens when you put two great talents together. They say that good music is food for the soul, these two great singers proved that it certainly is.
