Beached Whale Cries Out, Scared And In Pain - Until An Angel Comes To Its Rescue

When a large pod of killer whales, usually called Orca, swam along their usual hunting grounds off the British Columbian coast in Canada, their instinctive search for seals turned into a harrowing fight for life for one female.

She had somehow ended up stuck on a series of very sharp rocks and was showing the obvious telltale signs of pain and what could be fatal stress if she wasn't somehow brought back to the water with a quickness.

Upon discovering this large, helpless marine creature, rescue workers immediately jumped into action and attempted to make her less stressed and more comfortable. Many of those helping were quite emotional over the whole situation.

Those listening to her cries were brought to tears as she cried out from being both terrified and from being in such massive amounts of pain. While boating, George Fischer got an alert over the radio from a sailboat that sent the call out to get help for this poor animal. He brought together a group of people to lend a hand.

When they arrived, the dire need for assistance was obvious. This poor Orca was drying out very quickly.

Another person who helped with the efforts to rescue the stranded Orca is Hermann Meuter. He knew that it was imperative to keep her hydrated or she would surely die. Some of the team of rescuers covered her in wet blankets while others continuously poured the salty, cold water over her to keep her skin from drying out.

As soon as efforts began, she started to calm down. It was quite apparent that the huge animal knew that she was being helped.

This was a very important rescue because while normally, stranded marine life can be dragged back to their watery home, this whale was stuck on very sharp rocks which could have cut her quite badly, so rescue efforts had to be carefully carried out.

This group of saviors knew how to do their duty very well, and meticulously kept her soaked and as calm as possible while they waited for the tide to cover her enough to set her free. It took eight long, cold hours, but they were patient, persistent, and very caring in her time of need.
