Baby’s Reaction To Trying Peas For The First Time Has Everyone Losing It

Parents always want their children to love fruits and vegetables. They may try as soon as they can to get their baby to taste new foods. This mother was hoping that her six-month-old would enjoy peas, but the little girl ended up not being much of a fan. Yes, peas have a lot of vitamins, but kids don’t think of that when they see it on their plate.

Olivia was certainly not happy when it was time for her to taste them! She does love other foods that her mother has made her try. She happily eats rice cereal and other soft foods. One day, mom decided that she was going to try something completely new. She opened up a can of peas and prepared them for Olivia. Since this was the first time she was going to try them, she made sure that the camera was ready.

They knew that they should probably record this moment to view later. What they didn’t know was that their daughter was about to say her first words.

As the mother attempts to feed Olivia a small spoonful of the mashed peas, the camera continues to roll. Olivia knew right away that this was not the taste she wanted in her mouth. Her expression says it all! Her little smile quickly changes into a frown. However, it wasn’t just her disgusted face that had everyone cracking up. It is what happened next that was so startling.

Olivia leaned over and said to her mother: “I Done.”

Her father was the first to notice that she spoke her first words. It was obvious that she didn’t want another spoonful of peas! Olivia wants her sweet fruits and rice cereals instead. Her parents couldn’t help but bust out with laughter at her adorable reaction to peas.

While her parents had an idea that Olivia wouldn’t like peas they certainly didn’t expect it to cause her to speak for the first time! We are so glad that they got her reaction on film. It’s actually pretty unusual to get your child’s first words on film, but these parents managed to do it!

You can watch her say her first words for yourself below:
