Baby Girl Holds Onto Her Parents' Hands & Closes Her Eyes For Dinnertime Prayer

Many parents hold hopes for their children to follow in their footsteps and uphold the same principles and values that they, too, have. It wouldn’t be a surprise if many parents wanted their children to grow up to be kind, compassionate, caring and empathetic individuals who are self-assured, expressive and have the courage of their convictions.

Many parents also hand down their religious values to their children as it is an important aspect of their lives. Such was the case for parents John and Liz Incorvaia, who managed to teach their infant daughter Eloise Incorvaia the importance of being appreciative of life’s blessings.

When it's time to pray at the dinner table, many parents like to try to get their children to say a little prayer as well. Parents also take their children to church sometimes so that they can learn how to pray and learn about God.

Children who are young and can't talk well might not always understand the concept of religion. One little girl showed her parents that she does know how to pray in an adorable manner. Her parents, Liz and John Incorvaia, took this video back in 2016 when the family lived in Indiana.

As the family got ready to eat dinner one evening, the parents put their little girl in her highchair while everyone else sat down. They started to say a prayer over the meal, as they wanted to demonstrate the importance of thanking the Lord for the food that they had.

Since the little girl was just a baby, her parents didn't know if she was able to grasp the concept of praying. Her father soon urged the family to close their eyes and pray, and the little girl held her father's hand.

John recorded the moment and shared it on his YouTube page so everyone could see just what an adorable and sweet child his daughter is. While the video was quite short, it showed perfectly well just how much young Eloise was able to grasp just from watching and learning from her parents' actions and behavior.

In the clip, John’s daughter Eloise closed her eyes tightly as her father began to pray. She extended both her arms out to grasp her parents’ hands before bowing her head down. “Heavenly Father, thank you so much for this food, and thank you so much for my beautiful girls. Let this food bless our bodies and keep us safe,” John said. The baby then excitedly remarked, “Amen!”

In the description of the video, John wrote:

“Take a look and share the video of my daughter closing her eyes for prayer EVERY NIGHT before dinner ☺️ - she's only 20 months old…”

Eloise’s ability to grasp so early in life the lessons her parents taught her about being grateful and appreciative is quite a sight to behold! Viewers were absolutely taken by the young girl’s ability, and after the video was shared, Eloise and her parents found themselves in the media spotlight and even appeared on an episode of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”

Eloise is now a bright and bubbly child and doing her best as an older sibling to her younger sister and brother. We have no doubt she is passing on the lessons and values her parents did so well to teach her to them as well.
