Back in March, one-year-old Eryn from Boston, Massachusetts, captivated the Internet when a video of her having a conversation with her dad circulated online.

Eryn is the one-year-old baby girl of the Fitzgerald family from Boston, Massachusetts, also known as the “FitzFamily.” The family, which consists of dad Martinmom Shannon, and of course, baby Eryn, rose to popularity when they started making TikTok videos to pass the time during quarantine. According to the about page on their YouTube channel, they also wanted to document their lives in fun videos to show to Eryn when she gets older. Their TikTok account currently has over 224,100 followers, and they post pretty much daily, sometimes twice or even thrice in one day.

Back in March, Martin and Shannon recorded a video of Eryn having an intense ‘conversation’ with her dad and posted it on their TikTok account with the caption: “Seeking a baby translator.” In the video, Eryn is seen babbling enthusiastically and even using hand gestures while ‘talking’ to make sure she gets her point across.

“Formally introducing you to Eryn Dorothy,” read the text in the clip. “She has a lot to say.” She very clearly does! Little Eryn may not be able to speak yet, but as the saying goes: actions speak louder than words. She uses her hand and body movements to get her message loud and clear for her daddy. At one point, Eryn is even seen folding her arm as if to show that whatever she is talking about needs to be taken seriously.

Anybody can tell just by watching the video how talented of a storyteller Eryn is. Her discussion with her dad Martin involved a range of emotions, switching between candid and serious tones, smiling, and most importantly, the undeniably captivating babbling. For someone who has just learned to walk, her intonation is impressive.

But her mom and dad still don’t understand what she’s talking about. “We just don’t know what it is she is trying to say,” their text continued. Thankfully, some kind and helpful fans offered their interpretations. One TikTok user named Crystal Valdez wrote: “My goodness, sometimes it’s so hard being this cute, Daddy. I mean, I’m like the cutest thing on this earth! You wouldn’t understand.” Another viewer had something else in mind, writing: “Clearly she’s trying to tell you the cure for the coronavirus.”

Her parents thanked everyone for all the positive feedback they received. “Thank you all for your kind and funny responses,” they wrote in the comments section. We are glad that Eryn could provide some smiles during this difficult time for many.”

To date, the video has garnered over 130,700 likes and has been played over 716,000 times on TikTok. Martin and Shannon decided to spread the joy of video even further by posting it on their YouTube channel where it also went viral. The video on YouTube currently has over 2.1 million views.

The video is wonderfully adorable from start to finish. Towards the end, we see Eryn plopping herself down on the floor as if she was tired from all the talking she’s been doing while standing. One viewer describes it perfectly: “She got tired explaining standing so she sat down.”

Some people thought her speech was relevant to current affairs and made the connection. “More intelligent than the 2020 presidential debate that's for sure,” one Antonio Lansang, whose comment got more than 1,400 likes, wrote. “She makes more sense than most politicians,” someone else wrote.

Others related to the video on a more personal level. “When she said 'ayabawalaeewaeeehauehueagaga,' I felt that,” one of the top comments read. Many resonated with the comment, which has been liked more than 1,600 times - a pretty impressive number for just a comment.

As endearing as this video is, it is not the Fitzgeralds’ most popular one on their TikTok. Just a couple of weeks after the video of Eryn and her dad’s engaging conversation, the family posted another one that also features Eryn, and it has been played over a whopping 4.3 million times on the platform as of this writing.

The video is made up of a compilation of Eryn doing ‘quarantine’ activities that include house chores (all pretend of course) like cooking, cleaning, doing the laundry, coloring , and even knitting. The video, which is captioned “Day 58019 in quarantine #whenwillmylifebegin,” is backed with the song When Will My Life Begin, the soundtrack from the Disney movie Tangled. No offence to Rapunzel, but Eryn is way cuter!
