Djibril, a baby chimpanzee from Spain who was rejected by his mother, found a new home in the spring fo 2019 thanks to the help of Spanish park keepers.
As much as millions of people love dogs and cats, not every wonderful animal finds a home. If things are tough for canines and felines, then imagine how difficult it could be for an exotic animal like a chimpanzee to find a loving family willing to adopt.

One poor chimpanzee did find a forever home. And the poor animal needed one. The ape's mom rejected him, which was a heartbreaking scenario. At least the tale has a happy ending now. According to Inside Edition, Djibril, the chimp, was not born in the wild, but in a zoo in Malaga, Spain. Djibril's mom, Kika, was a rescue animal. She grew up in the circus where, sadly, she suffered from significant abuse.
Not everything that goes on at circuses is known to the public nor authorities. When animals suffer abuse, the problems could persist for years until someone uncovers the mistreatment. Hopefully, a rescue takes place before anything terrible occurs. Kika now lives a better life in a friendly zoo, but years of abuse have an effect.

Chimps must display proper maternal instincts to raise their offspring. The abuse endured at the circus hampered Kika's maternal instincts immensely. Poor Djibril had seemed to suffer because of the harm inflicted on Kika.
Djibril struggled since his mother wanted nothing to do with him. The poor chimpanzee needed to learn to survive on his own, something an animal must do even in a zoo's relatively safe confines. The local zookeepers did what they could to help Djibril's development. Likely, their time suffered from limitations. Being a zookeeper comes with many responsibilities. Spending too much time with one animal might not be possible. The zookeepers did work hard at finding a new home for Djibril. Their consistent work led to positive results. Djibril found a new place to call home.
And the young chimp did want a new home and a place where he could feel love. After receiving a stuffed chimp doll, Djibril would cuddle with it. The chimp wanted family love and affection. The zoo, sadly, could not deliver on those promises. The zoo's staff did, however, find a place for Djibril to go.
According to Journal Star, it turns out a local park in Spain cares for a family of chimps. Would the family be willing to "adopt" Djibril and welcome them into their home? Doing so involved many challenges. The chimpanzee family might see Djibril as an outsider and reject him. If the chimp's mother would turn her back on Djibril, why wouldn't a family of strangers? As much as the park's management wanted to accept Djibril, the humans wouldn't have the final say on whether he gets a forever home. Again, the chimpanzee family had to take him.
As mentioned at the beginning, the story concludes with a positive outcome. The chimpanzee family embraced Djibril, and they accepted the young ape as one of their own.
Djibril also accepted his new family. After looking for family love for so long, Djibril found it. Today, he resides with his adopted chimpanzee family and finds the joy that escaped him during his earlier year. May the young chimp maintain such happiness all through his adult and golden years. Who knows? Maybe one day, Djibril will welcome a forgotten and cast away chimp one day, too.
