Baby Abandoned On Stranger's Doorstep With Heartbreaking Note

We often think of a baby being left on a stranger's doorstep as something that only happens in old movies and books, but it's a very real occurrence. For one family in Florida, this unbelievable event happened right on their doorstep.

A mother and son were peacefully eating breakfast in their Orlando apartment when they heard the sound of an infant crying. At first, the mother assumed it had to be one of their neighbor's children. But when the crying didn't stop, she stepped outside to the front door to investigate what was happening.

That's when she found a newborn baby, crudely swaddled in a men's shirt, along with a note that sent chills down her spine.

"I had him in the bathroom alone. His dad tried to kill us," the haunting note read according to Metro News. "Please keep him [a] secret and take him to the hospital. His dad is a very dangerous man."

The note also included the time and date of the baby's birth, which was 5:45 PM on July 19, 2019. The baby was found the next day on the twentieth.

The woman who found the infant quickly took him to the nearest hospital. Despite the boy's unthinkable start in life, he was miraculously completely healthy. The baby is currently waiting to be adopted. Tragically, the fate of the baby's mother is currently unknown. Oddly enough, an almost identical experience happened at the same apartment complex in 2017, The New York Post reports.

Some locals suspect that the two abandoned infants might be the products of the same mother. However, only time and DNA testing will determine if this is the case.
