Audacious 6-Year-Old Steals The Show On 'AGT' With Astounding Lady Gaga Performance

“America’s Got Talent” has been on for almost two decades since it premiered in 2006. What started as a talent show project by TV personality and entrepreneur Simon Cowell has grown to become one of the most loved reality shows around the world. Not only has it gone beyond the borders of the United States, but other versions, such as “Britain’s Got Talent” and “Spain’s Got Talent,” have also sprung up from the original show. 

In all of the years of its existence, the show has been the bedrock of several talented hopefuls, giving them a platform to showcase their skills, expand their fan base, and, for many, build a career. Win or lose, several participants have gone on to become stars in their own right as a result of their participation in the show. What’s more interesting? The show is not restricted to a particular talent; singers, dancers, stuntmen, comedians, contortionists, magicians, and a wide array of talented people across all genres are welcome to showcase their talents on the show. 

Even more interesting is the fact that there are no age restrictions for participants in the show. Children, just like adults, have the opportunity to showcase their skills on the talent-based reality show.  

Oftentimes, these kids put out mind-blowing performances that make them top contenders for the grand prize. One such performance was witnessed during the auditions for season 18 when 6-year-old audacious singer Zoë Erianna energized the audience with her performance of Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way.”

On June 7, 2023, “America's Got Talent” shared a video of the audition of 6-year-old Zoë Erianna on their official YouTube channel. The adorable middle childhood singer mounted the stage with the confidence only a few her age could dream of. Erianna went on to introduce herself, stating her name and age. When Cowell asked if she watched the show and who her favorite judge was, Erianna responded affirmatively, naming actress Sophia Vergara as her favorite judge. “I like all the judges, but I like Sophia the most,” she said.

Besides her apparent boldness, the 6-year-old was confident she would walk home with the grand prize. What’s more, Erianna plans to buy a “big golden convertible and a big pink Barbie dream camper.” The tiny singer carried on some small talk with the panel of judges before going on to perform her choice song, Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way.” 

Erianna’s stage presence for her performance was undeniably envious. Her mannerisms as she sang matched the song’s lyrics. Before long, the captivated audience started clapping to the tone of the beats as she sang. For a child her age, Erianna carried on the notes of the song to the best of her ability and controlled her breath like a pro.  

Needless to say, everyone loved the performance, as the audience, judges, and most likely viewers at home, gave a loud cheer and a standing ovation to the 6-year-old at the end of her performance. All four judges gave the middle childhood singer a yes for her rendition. With four yeses, it is certain that Erianna will return for the show’s next stage. However, the reactions to her auditions have been polarizing. While some Twitter users loved her performance, others were of the opinion that she wasn't a good singer.
