Ozzy Osbourne, popularly referred to as the “Godfather of Metal,” is renowned for being a member of the heavy metal band Black Sabbath. He was a founding member of the band, which came together in 1968, but pursued a solo career after being kicked out of it.
Ozzy was kicked out of the band in 1979 because of his drug and alcohol addiction, which began affecting his performance. However, the musician went on to have a successful career alone because of his manager and wife, Sharon Osbourne’s help. Ozzy eventually reconciled with his former bandmates and rejoined in 1997.
Sharon and Ozzy had ups and downs before falling in love and tied the knot in 1982. However, the duo has worked things out in their relationship and seems to have the perfect marriage nowadays.
Coupled with managing her husband’s music career, Sharon also manages other talents through her management company. "She wears many hats: an American TV personality, a former talk show host, and a former judge on shows like “The X Factor” and “America’s Got Talent.” In addition, the manager is a successful author whose autobiography made it to the bestseller list and became the most successful female autobiography to be sold.
Besides holding a record for her autobiography, Sharon has also had a lot of plastic surgeries on her face and body. However, despite performing multiple plastic surgeries, the TV personality disclosed to The Sun in an interview published on April 24, 2023, that she would not be doing anymore. Sharon has also come under fire for her frail looks after appearing in a television interview after losing 30 pounds through the controversial diabetes medicine, Ozempic.

Sharon has always been involved in controversy. She has not shied away from it either. While talking about cancel culture and the ups and downs in her life, she told The Times:
“Everyone is scared of saying something wrong. It’s no way to live.”
The media personality faced cancel culture in 2021 when she defended her friend, Piers Morgan, over his statement that he didn’t believe what the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, said in her interview with Oprah Winfrey. Following an investigation into her statement, Sharon left "The Talk," where she had worked for 11 years as a co-host, on March 26, 2021. Sharon’s co-host, Sheryl Underwood, had accused her of validating her friend’s racist beliefs.
Amid the opposition, Ozzy stood by his wife and defended her. This was not the first time he would support his wife. After critics slammed Sharon for her plastic surgeries, the musician disclosed that he didn’t mind and loved her whichever way she looked. Ozzy revealed that he loved his spouse’s inner being above all else, and that was all he cared about. As per the Irish Examiner, he said:
"Whether my wife is the size of this house or as skinny as Twiggy's left leg, it's the person I love, not the look."
A year after Ozzy told off his wife’s critics, Sharon appeared on “Dr. Phil” and discussed her plastic surgeries with him. Upon the host’s prodding to share what she had already disclosed in her book, the mom of three said:
“I’ve had my boobies done twice. I’ve had facelifts, neck done, haven’t had anything done to my eyes or lips — I never wanted those lippies.”
Sharon also revealed that she also had her arms, legs, tummy and bum done. When the host asked if it hurt, she replied:
“Oh, it hurt, but again there’s no gain without pain, and anything you do, nothing comes without a price.”

Sharon finally decided to halt her pursuit of beauty through surgical means, as disclosed in an April 24, 2023 interview with The Sun after a mishap. The reality TV personality said her last facelift, which she got in 2021, left her looking like a cyclops.
“That one put me off and it frightens me,” she confessed during the interview. “I really f***ing pushed it with the last facelift and I am now like, no more.”
Although Ozzy offered to pay for another surgery to correct it, the former talk show host declined the offer.
Sharon previously disclosed on "The Talk" that she was getting more plastic surgeries because she didn’t want to look like her mom. However, the result of the surgery was far from pleasant, and the subsequent surgery in 2021 only made things worse. When fans saw her in an Instagram post she shared in June 2023, many thought she was unwell as she looked very thin.
“Why do they feel they need to lose that much weight?” a follower asked.
A second commented, “Oh she doesn’t look well, look at Sharon’s face she looks ill......😢,” while another wrote she looked "too thin."
A fourth person opined, “SHE USED TO LOOK GOOD BUT WITH ALL HER PLASTIC SURGERY SHE LOST HER GOOD LOOKS.”
A subsequent post on Instagram in July 2023 saw Sharon coming under fire again when critics condemned her lips. The best-selling author was with her daughter, Kelly Osbourne, and two others in the frame.
“What’s with the big lips? That looks awful!!!! The rest is great but the lips,” a follower asserted.
Another follower wrote, “Don’t like the big lips 👄 sorry guys but looks fake and fishy looking.”

The Osbourne family has had much more to deal with besides Sharon's misadventures with facelifts and surgeries. Ozzy's health has particularly been problematic. Ozzy Osbourne’s health issues have made him struggle to keep up with his life as a performer, but the star continues to stay strong without losing his passion for music.
Through it all, Ozzy’s beloved family members, like his wife Sharon Osbourne and daughter Kelly Osbourne, stood by his side, ensuring he enjoyed the best care. It has been some challenging years for Ozzy, who revealed he had Parkinson's disease in 2020. However, the rock star has been trying to fight the disease and live his life.
In an interview with the Daily Mail on Sept. 4, 2023, Sharon and Kelly discussed how Ozzy managed his ailment and revealed the development of the singer's health. The mother-daughter duo explained the “Black Sabbath” rocker’s activities and recuperation process.
The musician, who has been a household name for decades, was first diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2019. He suffered a bout of pneumonia and a fall at home before his diagnosis. However, it was not until 2020 that Ozzy announced on Good Morning America (GMA) that he had been diagnosed with a form of Parkinson's disease that affects the nerves in the body.
According to the Mayo Clinic, Parkinson's disease is an illness that affects the nervous system, primarily impacting a person's nerves. Some of the earliest signs of the disease can be slow-starting tremors, stiffness, and slowing of movement, and it can lead to loss of automatic movement, speech changes, and impaired balance.
Although Parkinson's is not curable, patients can manage the disease with treatments such as prescription medicines, surgery, and ultrasounds.

"There's so many different types of Parkinson's; it's not a death sentence by any stretch of the imagination, but it does affect certain nerves in your body…"
The couple later shared health updates in September 2022 on GMA, where they noted that Ozzy's ailment was "slowly progressing," although he faced more challenges from the aftermath of his 2019 fall and 2022 surgery. The singer fell at his Los Angeles home when he lost his footing in the bathroom around midnight.
Unfortunately, the fall worsened the injuries he sustained during his 2003 bike accident that required surgery. The "Black Sabbath" frontman broke his collarbone, several ribs, and a neck vertebra and was comatose for eight days. He shared that after he slipped in the bathroom, he told himself it was the end.
The TV personality thought he was paralyzed and asked his wife to call the ambulance. His delivery was also slow, and the pain was terrible, so he thought he had a terminal disease. Ozzy later found out that he had Parkinson's, although his symptoms were almost non-existent at the time.
Before revealing his health status, Ozzy performed at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games in England. Unfortunately, he could not endure the strain on his body and took to Instagram on July 10, 2023, to announce he would not be performing at the Power Trip festival in October.
Ozzy relayed that his body was “telling me that I’m not just ready yet.” He added that he did not want the first show he would organize for the first time in five years to be “half-a**ed.”

She made it known that her father did not let his health situation weigh him down. She said,
“He's still getting up every day, and still making music, and still doing singing lessons."
However, during an episode of “The Osbournes podcast” on Sept. 20, 2023, Ozzy, who had undergone multiple surgeries, said while the surgeries to treat his chronic pain made it seem like just "going in for a haircut now," he didn’t want to have any more after his fourth:
"It is gonna be the final surgery, because I can't do it anymore," the 74-year-old told his family. "Regardless of the way it ends up after tomorrow, I’m not doing it anymore. I can’t."
He conceded the treatment left him "improved somewhat, I think," although he still felt like he had "bricks tied" to his feet.
“I walked upstairs today and downstairs for the first time in a while, and my feet feel like I've got diving boots on when I'm walking. I think it's the nerves,” he said.
In the previous episode of “The Osbournes podcast,” Ozzy had said he was “going for an epidural soon because what they've discovered is the neck has been fixed… (but) below the neck there's two vertebrae where the bike hit me and disintegrated, there's nothing left of 'em.”
After the “final” surgery, the rocker appeared on Talk TV and told host Piers Morgan that it had been “five years of absolute hell for me and the family.” He thanked them for their support over the years, describing it as a “really bad scene,” and added:

During the session with Morgan, fans also noted Sharon's looks, and she came under fire again for her diminishing frame. The TV personality appeared with Ozzy, Kelly, and her son Jack Osbourne on “Piers Morgan Uncensored” on Sept. 20, 2023.
As the foursome discussed various topics, including Ozzy’s ailing health, many viewers couldn’t help but be distracted by Sharon’s looks. In the interview, she wore an oversized pink sweater that appeared to swallow her thin figure. Her red hair remained unchanging despite her shocking appearance.
The TV Talk show host herself touched on her drastic weight loss. She revealed that Ozzy had been making fun of her for losing over 30 pounds and was calling her Nancy Reagan because she looked like the former First Lady, who was thin.
She told Morgan that although she wanted to lose weight, she “didn’t want to go this thin. It just happened," she said. "I lost 42 pounds now and it’s just enough.”
Sharon told Morgan about the harmful side effects, which included consistent nausea, and warned that the medication she used, Ozempic, be kept away from young people as they “will go berserk on it.”
"I was about two three weeks where I felt nauseous the whole time. You get very thirsty and you don’t eat," she divulged.
Meanwhile, the book author shared that she was trying to regain some weight and would soon get it back quickly.
Sharon's struggle with food and weight loss solutions dates back to long ago. The former X-factor judge has had a gastric band done to adjust her appetite. To decrease their appetite, a surgeon would place an adjustable band around the top part of the stomach, according to Johns Hopkins Medicine. She has also had a sleeve mastectomy done.

"Sometimes, I would eat to punish myself and then I wouldn't eat to show that I had control of my life," she told E! News. I tried exercising, but I'm too lazy for that."
She continued:
"Everybody's got something in life, and mine was an eating disorder, and I've had it my entire life."
Regardless of the television personality’s declarations, viewers were shocked at her appearance. One user commented:
“OMG what on earth has Sharon Osborne done to herself…she looks dreadful!”
One viewer noted Sharon's "gaunt" appearance, while another questioned what had “happened to Sharon’s face!!”
Another wrote, “#Yikes Sharon Osborne (sic) after using #ozempic to lose weight,” alongside a zoomed-in photo of Sharon during the interview.
Before the Morgan interview, Sharon had spoken openly about using Ozempic, an injectable medication used to treat type-2 diabetes that has since become infamous after celebrities began using it for weight loss. Sharon said she felt no shame in using it and told E! News:
“It's not a dirty little secret when you've taken something to help you lose weight, which is perfectly fine.”
However, she added she had stopped using Ozempic as she was “at the point of losing too much that I have to try and maintain.”
“In my life, the heaviest I was 230 pounds and I'm now under 100. And I want to maintain at about 105 because I'm too skinny. But I'm trying to have a healthy balance," she said.
While some celebrities agree with Sharon's take and are open about their use of Ozempic, others, including Raven-Symoné and Sophie Turner, have decried the use of the drug simply as a weight loss tool.
