Sharon Stone began her career as a model and is still as stunning in her 60s. The actress celebrated her 66th birthday on Mar. 10, 2024, and advocates for self-care and letting oneself age gracefully instead of being obsessed with looking youthful. The star posts regularly on social media, and her timeless beauty constantly takes fans’ breaths away. Snaps of her lounging poolside in a plunging swimsuit and looking as stunning as ever had everyone clamoring to discover her secret.
While growing up in Meadville, Pennsylvania, Stone began her career by entering pageant competitions. After judges encouraged her to try modeling, she moved to New York City and signed with the Ford Modeling Agency. She transitioned to acting and rose to prominence in the 1990s, portraying femme fatale figures.
After her film debut in “Stardust Memories,” she went on to find fame starring in movies such as “King Solomon’s Mines,” “Total Recall,” “Basic Instinct,” “Last Action Hero,” “The Quick and the Dead” and “Casino.” She proved she was more than just a pretty face as well, earning critical acclaim and accolades for her talent as an actress, including being nominated for an Academy Award for her role as Ginger McKenna in “Casino.” She did, however, win a Golden Globe for the role. She has also won an Emmy Award for guest starring in “The Practice.” She received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1995.
In her later years, Stone has been laying low when it comes to attending public gatherings and events in Hollywood, instead keeping her fans updated on her social media accounts. She frequently posts photos of herself barefaced, showcasing her natural beauty as she ages. However, some images have left fans puzzled, with many questioning whether she had lost her sex appeal.
Stone has had a soaring career alongside a personal life filled with ups and downs. Her first wedding was to television producer Michael Greenburg in 1984. She became engaged a few times until 1998 when she finally exchanged vows with journalist Phil Bronstein. However, their pairing was not to be, and they divorced in 2004.
During Stone’s marriage to Bronstein, the star suffered numerous miscarriages due to an autoimmune condition called endometriosis, which results in infertility and difficulties carrying a child to full term. In her final attempt in 2000 to have a child naturally, tragedy struck.
“I had to go through painful surgery – and 36 hours of labour – to deliver a stillborn. It was on our way home afterwards, one of the darkest moments of my life, that I got a call from an adoption lawyer: he had a client with a baby boy due in a few weeks. Would I be his mother?” Stone wrote in an essay in Vogue.
Six weeks later, Stone became the mother of her first adopted son. After divorcing Bronstein, Stone adopted two more children in 2005 and 2006.
“I’m now a single mother with three adopted sons, and it has been the great privilege of my life to raise them. When you adopt, you realise any child could be your child, any person could be your relative. After that you never see the world in the same way again,” she added in her essay.
In December 2022, Stone made space in her home and heart for yet another child, but this time, under more unfortunate circumstances. When the single father of one of her son’s friends passed away due to Parkinson’s, Stone decided to take him in, according to the Daily Mail.

Stone turned 66 in 2024 and looks as stunning as ever. However, she doesn’t buy into the notion that one must look young to be beautiful.
“I’m just happy — a happy person,” she told Vogue. “The idea that being youthful is the only thing that’s beautiful or attractive simply isn’t true. I don’t want to be an ‘ageless beauty,’ I want to be a woman who is the best I can be at my age.”
The star’s outlook on life and beauty is noted and appreciated by those around her.
“Sharon is fearless and her zest for life is infectious,” said her makeup artist, Amy Oresman, in 2021.
“She understands what real beauty is: self-love and self-care. Her looks are timeless because she knows beauty is not an hourglass, slowly dripping into nothingness,” she added.
Stone’s mindset on appearances and beauty inspires those around her. The actress and producer is adamant that women can be stunning at any age and continues to lead by example.
“She is, once again, leading the charge and showing that women are as jaw-droppingly beautiful at 63 as they are at 27,” Oresman continued.
Stone regularly posts photos on Instagram of herself exuding timeless beauty in swimsuits that show off her lean figure. She has earned the admiration of top model Naomi Campbell and fellow actress Jamie Lee Curtis, who lauded her in the comments of one picture that showed her relaxing cliffside in a plunging black one-piece.
The same sultry swimsuit made another appearance on her Instagram feed on Aug. 23, 2022, in a picture of her with candle designer Tina Manning, stylist Brandy Snow, and Jennifer Lazarus, looking as toned and fit as ever.

Her shirt featured a design that appeared to be a caricature of a person with a red heart. The actress posed in front of a canvas of one of her creations. The painting featured strokes of orange and red, as well as blue and blobs of white that resembled clouds. On the bottom left of the photo, her lovely dog was adoring her from the side.
After she shared the image, fans took to the comment section to commend her beautiful outfit for that day as one wrote, “what is more beautiful? The painting or the painter?”
“I love it…!!! and you are beautiful,” another one wrote.
“Looks like you’ve turned back time. 🧡,” one commented.
In the caption, Stone shared the details behind her painting, noting that it was titled “Cumulus Joy.”
Stone is not just a successful actress but also a great artist. The star returned to her roots as she began painting again during the pandemic. In an interview with The Art Newspaper, Stone said she received painting lessons from her aunt, who took painting and literature classes in college. She followed in her footsteps as she also enrolled in those subjects while at Edinboro University. But unfortunately, Stone never got the chance to continue exploring her artistic side when her acting career skyrocketed.
However, she still connected with her love for creativity by visiting museums all over the world.

“I painted and painted and painted, and I refound myself. I refound my heart. I refound my centre,” she said.
Initially, the star began with a small setup in her bedroom, but as her love for painting grew, she set up a studio within her home and painted whenever she could.
In 2023, Stone held her first art exhibit, but she never intended for her artworks to go public. It all began when she gave a painting to her friend Anastasia Soare, the CEO and founder of Anastasia Beverly Hills, for her birthday.
In April 2023, she told L’Officiel Magazine:
“It was at her house, at a party, and people there just started lining up asking me for commissions. I couldn’t deal with it, so I went home. About 10 days later, a gallery called me.”
From there, she established her show called “Shedding.” She explained to the publication that the name was inspired by “shedding our false personas.”
“We’re shedding a life we had before Covid. We’re in a new life, finding a new self,” she added.
In the same conversation, Stone was asked if she would continue painting, and she excitedly answered: “Oh, my God, yes. No matter what happens, I don’t care. I’m not doing this for some altruistic construct.”

In a Vogue interview, Stone confessed that this doesn’t mean she has to lift 3,000 pounds of weights in the gym.
“You have to move your body and add a little bit of resistance. Periodically throughout the day, I just move my body. I do it when I’m on set. I do leg lifts and back kicks and pop down on the ground and do some jackknifes,” she said of her workout routine.
The 66-year-old actress said these things make a “big difference.” She also admitted that she found the late Suzanne Somers’ ThighMaster beneficial.
“I put that between my legs while I’m watching TV, and my kids and all their teenage friends think it’s hilarious but they do it too. They sit around with me and do it with their arms, finding a way to do their biceps and their triceps,” she added.
Stone frequently posts photos of herself on her Instagram account, many of which show her toned body or beautiful face without makeup. However, fans are divided on her appearance — some were left appalled by her looks.
“What happened to her?!!” a user asked. “It seems that she is not well.. 😢😢”
“Omg how old are you darling ?” a comment read, while another user said, “That do not look like you😮”
However, others defended her, noting that nothing was wrong with her.

“She’s aged, that’s all. And so shall we all (if at all we’re lucky enough to).🔥,” another shared.
“How the hell do you still look beautiful with a towel on your head, glasses and a sweatshirt!?!?! I mean, it’s borderline annoying really! 😂🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰,” a fan chimed in.
