Back in the '90s, actor Thomas Calabro won over audiences with his performance of Michael Mancini, the dashing yet morally gray doctor, on the hit soap opera, "Melrose Place."

Thanks to its steamy plot twists, outrageous characters, and unforgettable storylines, the series redefined melodrama. To this day, the Aaron Spelling-produced drama, which aired from 1992 to 1999, remains one of the most iconic shows of its time.

Although Calabro did take on a variety of roles after "Melrose Place" ended – with appearances on "The Pretender," "Nip/Tuck," and "The West Wing" – none have quite lived up to the fame he earned from the iconic '90s soap opera.

Dr. Mancini became the face of "Melrose Place," captivating audiences week after week with his looks, tangled love life and penchant for drama. As they say, once a looker, always a looker — and well, Calabro certainly proves that to be true.

Calabro has generally kept a low profile in the entertainment world in recent years. However, he did offer fans a peek into the behind-the-scenes of his time on "Melrose Place" during a podcast appearance in October 2024.

Despite the time gone by, his timeless appeal is still very much alive. At 65, fans have been left wondering how Calabro has aged over the years. Spoiler: He’s still got that same magnetic charm!

When Calabro was cast as Dr. Michael Mancini on "Melrose Place," he automatically imagined that the show was bound to revolve around hospital life and surgeries. But oh boy, was he wrong! It didn’t take him long to catch on to the complicated storyline full of love triangles, backstabbing and an unhealthy dose of steamy scandal. During his time as the devilish hunk, his time was spent fixing relationship problems rather than actual medical ones — a point none of us are complaining about.

Outside of his career, Mancini became a father to three children through his first marriage. When asked about how his children grew up with a TV star for a dad, Calabro downplayed it and insisted that they’ve always kept a grounded perspective when it comes to his career. He told PEOPLE:

"They grow up in an entertainment community here, so they're surrounded by a ton of actors 15 times more famous than their dad. I think to them, it's not unusual."

Kudos to them because we surely wouldn't have played it cool! However, his kids certainly didn’t mind seeing their dad back in the spotlight after the "Melrose Place" reboot returned to screens in 2009.

"My daughter says she's seen some of the new one. (My kids) got a particular thrill when they saw me on the actual billboards," he shared.

Reminiscing on his time on the original show, Calabro said:

“It was just so much fun,” he said. “Going to work was always a pleasure. It was such a great community and cast and crew. Everybody was having a ball."

Fans were delighted to see how Calabro was doing in October 2024 after his appearance on the "Still the Place" podcast, hosted by his former costars Courtney Thorne-Smith, Laura Leighton and Daphne Zuniga. One Facebook user commented, “I always thought he is an attractive guy.” Another added: “Well look who showed up!!! My favorite male Melrose character!!!” And another stated, “Still handsome!”

At 65, Calabro is still turning heads. "Melrose Place" may be a figment of the past, but one thing’s for sure — his face is still very much worth admiring. Fans seem to be eagerly waiting to get a glimpse of him, and we totally get the hype!
