Marc Anthony, born Marco Antonio Muñiz on September 16, 1968, in New York City, is a renowned Latin singer, songwriter, and actor. With his exceptional vocal talent, heartfelt performances, and captivating stage presence, he has become one of the most influential and successful artists in the Latin music industry. 

Born to Puerto Rican parents in East Harlem, New York. Growing up in a predominantly Latin neighborhood, he was immersed in the rich cultural heritage of salsa and Latin music. In 1993, Marc released his self-titled debut album, which marked the beginning of his meteoric rise to fame. His music seamlessly blended salsa, bolero, and pop, creating a unique sound that resonated with audiences around the world.

In 2000, Marc married former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres, and the couple had two sons, Cristian Anthony Muñiz, 22, and Ryan Anthony Muñiz, 19. Despite their initial happiness, their marriage faced challenges, and they ultimately divorced in 2004. However, they maintained an amicable relationship for the sake of their children.

However, it was his highly publicized marriage to global superstar Jennifer Lopez that became one of the most well-known chapters in Marc’s personal life.

Born on May 10, 1999, Ferreira was also a beauty queen who won the Miss Paraguay title in 2021, eventually becoming first runner-up in the Miss Universe 2021 pageant. She and Marc made their relationship public on March 19, 2022, with an Instagram post that showed them cozying up together on a plane. A month later, Ferreira posted gorgeous portraits of the two of them glammed up for an event in Palm Beach, Florida, with the caption, “love is in the air 🤍” 

Just three months after making their relationship Instagram official, they announced their engagement with an Instagram story showing the huge diamond ring the Latin star had gifted Ferreira. 

The pair would cap off their whirlwind romance with an elaborate wedding on January 28, 2023, and show the world that love can blossom and happiness can be found despite a more than 30-year age difference.

Marc and Ferreira’s wedding held at the Pérez Art Museum Miami was a star-studded affair. It included guests such as Salma Hayek, Lin Manuel Miranda, Luis Fonsi, Maluma and Leah Remini. Billionaire business magnate Carlos Slim’s son, Carlos Slim Domit, and football superstar David Beckham – who attended with his wife, former Spice Girl and fashion designer Victoria Beckham – served as Marc’s best men, according to Hola! magazine.

Ferreira looked like nothing short of a princess in an intricately detailed, full-length Galia Lahav wedding gown while Marc opted for a dapper Christian Dior suit. Two days after the nuptials, Ferreira shared a video capturing the best from the big day. Clips showed the beautiful detailing on Ferreira’s dress, as well as the extravagantly designed venue that featured row upon row of fresh white flowers. The guests were seen laughing it up, having a good time and dancing the night away as Marc posed for photos with his beautiful bride, his army of groomsmen and his family. One shot also showed Marc tearing up as he waited to trade “I do’s” with his betrothed on the aisle.

While there was no confirmation of Lopez or their twins attending the ceremony. Marc’s two sons from his first marriage, Cristian and Ryan, were in attendance, having already nurtured a good relationship with Ferreira, whom they were spotted with at one of Marc’s concerts in Puerto Rico, according to Hola!

The pair carried on their love story with exciting baby news, taking to Instagram to share a photo of Marc cradling Ferreira’s baby bump. “Best Valentine’s Gift Ever!!! Gracias Dios por esta bendición tan grande en nuestras vidas. ♥️,” Ferreira wrote in the caption, which translates to “Thank you God for this big blessing in our lives. ♥️”
