At 54, Gwen Stefani Infuriates ‘The Voice’ Fans With ‘Laughable’ Outfit Choice

Gwen Stefani is one of America’s most beloved singers. Since breaking into the music industry as a member of the ska band, No Doubt, her career has been on an upward trajectory. Stefani has since enjoyed a successful solo musical career. She also ventured into the world of fashion and became famous as a television personality thanks to her role as a coach on “The Voice.”

There is no doubt that Stefani worked incredibly hard to attain her current status in the music and fashion world. In addition to her career, she is also a loving mother to three children. The stress of managing a music career and being a mother in Hollywood can be challenging. However, Stefani has handled both worlds excellently. 

Despite the demands and challenges the songstress undoubtedly goes through to attain success, she has managed to maintain an ageless beauty and look. There is no doubt that Stefani is one of Hollywood’s most beautiful women. However, after such an incredibly long and successful career and considering aging factors, one may expect her to lose some aspects of her beauty. However, that hasn’t been the case as the 54-year-old continues to defy the aging process. 

Stefani’s age-defying looks were on full display in the opening episode of Season 26 of “The Voice,” where she returned as a coach alongside three new coaches: Snoop Dogg, Reba McEntire and Michael Bublé. As part of “The Voice” tradition, the judges demonstrated their talent in a stirring performance that showcased their vocal skills and stage presence. The foursome chose the Eagles classic, “Heartache Tonight” to flex their range and did not disappoint. While Stefani gave a solid performance, it wasn’t just her vocal pizzazz that had people talking.  

Viewers were delighted by the sensational performance by “The Voice” veteran judge Stefani and the new judges joining her, Snoop Dogg, McEntire and Bublé. Snoop Dogg surprised many who only knew him as a rapper by demonstrating his singing abilities. McEntire brought her usually sprightly country flair to the mix while Bublé’s jazzy vocals smoothed over the crowd. 

Stefani, who first joined “The Voice” as Christina Aguilera’s replacement as a coach in 2014, pumped up the audience with her pop prowess. However, some viewers took issue with her wardrobe choice, saying she should have dressed more appropriately as a woman in her 50s. This was particularly so seeing how the other coaches were dressed. While Snoop Dogg, McEntire and Bublé looked smart and sharp in crisp black suits, Stefani was the only one in a body-hugging, black cut-out dress and thigh-high boots.

“Gwen can’t sing and look at her she thinks she 20,” one user remarked, while another said, “Her outfits are laughable.” 

Some compared Stefani’s style to a teenager’s.

“She is 54 years old stop dressing like a teenager,” one user said, while another wrote, “Gwen is too old to dress like a teenager time to have class like Reba always dressed like the star with class.”

However, many viewers rallied to Stefani’s defense.

“You are never to old to dress the way you want too, some people are to old and dried up to understand that it maybe they don’t have Gwen’s body and nice personality,” one viewer commented, as another retorted, “Don’t like the way Gwen dresses ? Don’t look . That’s her thing and it doesn’t matter what you or anyone else thinks.”

“Hey she’s got the figure for it so why not? I think she looks sexy in this outfit,” a third commenter said in Stefani’s defense.
