We are all familiar with the "Edelweiss" song from the hit musical "The Sound of Music." Over the years it has been performed many times and in many different ways. The Little Singers of Armenia choir decided that they would also create their own version of "Edelweiss" and when the 39 voices came together on stage they sounded like angels.

The composers of the song, Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein, created the Austrian folk song originally for the Broadway musical production of "The Sound of Music," reports The Atlantic. The song was then used in the famous film version too.

The Little Singers of Armenia choir breathed new life into this song by putting their own stamp on it. Their angelic voices take the song to a new level. It's inspiring to see the abundance of talent that these girls have. It's rare to see a choir rendition of this song, as usually it is performed for a musical production.

According to See It Live, the choir has racked up many top awards across the globe. Their Prime Minister and the Ministry of Culture of Armenia have also given them awards of the highest honor.

When the performance starts their voices are gentle and soft, but as they continue their voices become stronger and more powerful. The lyrics fill the concert hall:

“Blossom of snow, may you bloom and grow
Bloom and grow forever
Edelweiss, Edelweiss
Bless my homeland forever.”

Each one of these choir members performs effortlessly and perfectly, which shows us how much time and effort must have gone into getting the performance right.
