Alan Jackson Was ‘So Happy’ To Join Grandpa Club With Birth Of First Grandchild

Alan Jackson has been a pivotal figure in the world of country music since the late 1980s. The following decade brought him an immense amount of fame and success as he started climbing the charts and bringing in a new and excited wave of fans. Through it all, his wife Denise has stayed by his side. The country crooner has written a plenitude of songs over the many years of his career, with plenty of them being inspired by his affectionate love for his longtime partner.

With numerous albums and hits under his belt, it wasn’t long before Jackson made it big, and his music really resonated with people all over the world. His music style can be classified as a blend of honky-tonk country mixed with mainstream country-pop sounds, and he has penned many original songs. The country star has become one of the best-selling music artists of all time. Over the span of his career, Jackson has gone on to win two Grammy Awards, 16 Country Music Association Awards and 17 Academy of Country Music Awards. He is a member of the Grand Ole Opry and was even inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2017 and the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame the following year.

While Jackson has an extraordinary career that he can boast of, nothing makes him prouder than his being a loving husband and father. Jackson married his high school sweetheart Denise when he was only 21 and the pair have gone on to start and raise a beautiful family. So when it was time to welcome a new little addition to the family, it’s no wonder the country music star was over the moon.

Jackson’s music has really captured the hearts of many people, as he has written about topics that matter and hit close to home. His stage presence, strong voice and heartfelt lyrics undeniably helped make Jackson the star he is today. “Remember When,” released in October 2003, has been a fan favorite since its release, and its success could most likely be driven by the very personal lyrics about the singer’s life. The song is full of heartfelt words about his relationship with his wife. Jackson and Denise were high school sweethearts and tied the knot in December 1979. They have since gone on to have three daughters together.

Their first child, Mattie, was born on Jun. 19, 1990. Alexandra Jane, better known as “Ali,” followed on Aug. 23, 1993, and Dani Grace was born on Aug. 28, 1997. Jackson remains close to all his beautiful daughters, and in 2017, his middle child Ali took to Facebook to express just what a great father Jackson is.

“The world sees you as follows: a great musician, an impressive songwriter and a talented vocalist. I see you as: my best friend, the guy that taught me that how you treat people matters more than anything else and taught me just how to stand on my own two feet. You’re every daughter’s dream father. Thank you for raising us in a house filled with Jesus and music, and always making sure we knew whatever our dream was could be our reality. You’re the best in more ways than one Big A,” Ali wrote, according to One Country. 

Now, Ali has given Jackson one of life’s most precious gifts: his entry into grandparenthood.

In July 2022, Jackson took to social media to announce his daughter Ali was expecting. “Our baby is having a baby. Denise and I can’t wait to meet our first grandson in December!” Jackson wrote in the caption alongside pictures of him and Ali dancing at her wedding as well as another showing her baby bump. In that picture, she is seen standing beside her husband, Sam Bradshaw, whom she married on Jul. 18, 2020.

On Dec. 15, 2022, a beaming and ecstatic Jackson again took to social media to announce the birth of his very first grandchild. He posted a picture of himself sitting with his wife Denise as she cradled the newborn baby in her arms. In the caption, he noted it was a double celebration, as he and Denise were also marking their wedding anniversary. 

“Denise and I are celebrating our 43rd wedding anniversary with our new grandson Jackson Alvie Bradshaw. Ali and Sam welcomed Jack into the world on Dec. 13, 2022. So happy that this little guy has made us grandparents!” Jackson wrote in the caption. 

Fans were quick to take to the comments to congratulate the “Little Bitty” singer, saying they were happy to see him enter a new phase in his life. “Welcome to the Grandparents Club! Best club you will ever be part of!” one follower wrote. Another fan left Jackson some practical advice, saying “Being a grandparent is the best thing in the world and not because you can give the children back to your own children but because they bring so much joy to your life.”
