Age-Defying Mom Who Goes On Double Dates With Her Daughter Reveals Secrets To Her Youthful Looks

One mother-daughter duo from California is making headlines around the world — not only for their stunning good looks but also for their approach to dating.

Elementary school teacher Joleen Diaz, 45, became an internet sensation in 2020 when publications began dubbing her “the world’s hottest mom.” The Guam native, who moved to California when she was 10, said she often got confused for being her daughter’s sister, thanks to her youthful looks. She told Fox News the moniker stuck after “my daughter posted this social media video that all the kids were doing about hot moms. I think that’s how the name got started.” She added while her daughter Meilani, 22, thought the attention was “really cool,” Joleen said “It took a while for me to adjust to all of it. I’m not really used to it.”

So what’s her beauty secret? “I religiously take care of my skin, and every day, wash my face in the morning and before I go to bed,” Joleen said. She also shared some tips with Kelly Clarkson – who jokingly asked her where she had found the fountain of youth – during an appearance on her show in December 2020. Joleen explained living a physically active, alcohol- and smoke-free lifestyle while religiously using glycolic acid, vitamin C and retinol on her skin was key to her age-defying looks.

Since Joleen’s story was picked up, she has amassed a large following on social media. On Instagram, over 638,000 fans follow her posts about exercise, a healthy diet and skincare. Her YouTube channel includes clips of Joleen’s daily life, which include what she eats in a day, the juice cleanses and smoothies she makes and even her skincare routine.

Joleen also made headlines by revealing she and Meilani had gone on double dates together.

Joleen told Jam Press, as reported by New York Post, that when she and her daughter go on double dates together, they “often go bowling, to the movies, hikes, to the beach.” The proud mom added, “Melani asks for my advice on dating all the time. I love that she trusts in the advice I give, I feel like she’s well-balanced in dating and I’m glad my experiences can help her out.”

Although Joleen said that she has plenty of suitors on social media, she also revealed her frustration at her dating profiles frequently being taken down because of her unusually youthful good looks. “I’ve had my account deleted several times,” Joleen said, according to the Mirror. “It’s funny, I think people think I’m a fake account and report me.

Some users simply cannot believe how old Joleen is, and so they think she is a catfish or that her account is fake.

“I could link my Instagram to my profile, which would likely help prove that it’s really me but I don’t do it because I think my social media doesn’t present the simple, down-to-earth person I am.”

Instead, Joleen said that she would rather “connect with someone and then explain my social media to them once they know me a bit more.”

As far as Joleen’s dating interests go, she said that she has some limits when it comes to age, especially since she has an adult daughter.

“Age isn’t a deal-breaker for me, it’s about finding someone I’m able to help continue becoming a better person and growing, and them doing the same for me. But I don’t want to date a toyboy,” Joleen explained.

“I would never even remotely consider dating someone who is young enough to be friends with my daughter.”
