Adorable Kitten Meets Dachshund For First Time

Bringing a new pet into your home can be unnerving, especially if other pets are already residing in the home as permanent residents. A cute little kitten named Beetle hardly knew what to expect when she was brought into her new home and introduced to her new "brother." Her new sibling just happened to be an adult Dachshund, named Slinky. We can’t seem to find the exact origin of the video, but we found it on the internet and loved it. The video was uploaded to YouTube back in 2013.

Introducing a new animal into your home is not always easy and must be done in steps to eliminate as much stress and anxiety as possible. Taking it slow, this family decided to allow the new kitten to meet the family dog in a controlled and laid-back manner. Filming their introduction, we can't help but stare in awe at this cute meet-up.

Meeting in their home, Beetle and Slinky were a little unsure of each other at first. While this was to be expected, the overall meeting went better than the owners could have ever imagined.

The video starts off with Beetle sitting on the floor in front of Slinky, appearing to be playful yet hesitant. As Slinky goes to work sniffing Beetle, something we expect out of most dogs, the little kitten takes a new interest in the pup's wiggly nose.

Holding her paw up timidly as if to keep the pup's distance, Slinky shyly continues trying to sniff his new friend. This goes on for a while, eventually leading to the kitten standing on its back paws and gently nudging the Dachshund with its tiny front paws.

After the clip ends, we are left wondering what kind of relationship these two went on to form. From our initial impression, we like to think they experienced a lifelong friendship filled with house-wrecking chaos and cute shenanigans.
