A YouTube video posted in 2010 shows just how a baby Pygmy goat does its happy dance.
When you are feeling down or blue, there is just something about animals that can lift your mood. Baby animals have shown to increase optimism and serotonin in owners and visitors, so it is no wonder why the little jig of this baby Pygmy goat has touched the hearts of so many viewers.
Goats are a unique animal. Sporting a mind of their own, they seldom care what others around them think. Baby goats are extremely active and are known to play around in a similar fashion to human children.
Dancing, kicking, running, and jumping are some of the favorite past-times of baby goats, including this adorable little Pygmy goat in the video.

Just Days Old and Already Fond of the World
According to SPCA Canada, newborn goats are extremely agile almost as soon as they are born. In fact, at just two and three days old these goats are dancing and running about already. Seemingly playing solo, this little goal skips, hops, and jumps about. Entertaining everyone, this small Pygmy goat is having the time of its life, testing out new skills, and exploring the world nearby.
Attempting to play with mom, only to give up and hop about on its own, this little goat is energetic and ready to go. Hopping all about its enclosure, the Pygmy goat is spunky and brazen in its exploration. Unconcerned of the people and other animals around, this little goat seems happy to be alive and active.
A Typical Mom
As the little Pygmy goat plays about, mom simply looks on in adoration. When the baby comes nearby, she gently bends her head down to make sure all is well with her little one. Not one to be stopped by mom, this little goat continues prancing about and becomes sillier after mom checks in.
Dancing all around, exploring a kneeling position, and bouncing about between the keeper's legs, the little goat is getting used to the world all around. Eventually, rolling in the dirt, checking out other animals, and perusing nearby objects becomes a fun thing to do, as this little goat becomes more comfortable. The video ends with the little Pygmy goat testing out its skills climbing on top of and jumping off concrete blocks onto the ground below.
