58-Year-Old Sandra Bullock’s Health Secrets Have Kept Her A Timeless Beauty

Sandra Bullock has been one of the most prolific actresses in the entertainment industry since the late 1980s when she rose to prominence. But despite the decade-spanning time she has spent in front of the camera, Bullock’s iconic beauty has remained timeless and unchanging. The reason why? Bullock has a few strongly-kept secrets that have been decoded based on her many interviews throughout the years.
Bullock was born on July 26, 1964, in Arlington, Virginia. She has one younger sister named Gesine Bullock-Prado, who actually went on to serve as president of Bullock’s production company, Fortis Films, later in life. Their mother was Helga Mathilde Meyer, an incredibly successful and powerful opera singer.
Bullock was introduced to new cultures growing up, as she spent 12 years being raised in Nuremberg, Germany, as well as a few cities in Austria. Her parents had gotten married in Germany, and the star grew up learning how to speak German. Studying ballet and vocal arts as a child, Bullock quickly found herself immersed in the world of entertainment and even sang in a children’s choir. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Bullock grew up with dual citizenship in the United States and Germany but had not had citizenship in Germany since she was 18 years old. In 2009, she reapplied for a German passport.
Her love for the arts was consistent, and Bullock performed in school theater productions while attending Washington-Lee High School. After graduating in 1982, she went on to attend East Carolina University, where she received her degree in drama. The hopeful star moved to Manhattan, New York, shortly after and worked as a bartender, cocktail waitress and coat checker to support herself financially while auditioning for roles.
In 2000, Bullock earned the leading role in “Miss Congeniality,” a film that pushed her to new heights. In the movie, she portrayed an FBI agent who went undercover as a beauty pageant contestant. The film received rave reviews and was extremely popular with many people, and even earned Bullock her second Golden Globe Award nomination. After working as a producer on the film, Bullock went on to star and also produce once again for the film's sequel, “Miss Congeniality 2: Armed & Fabulous.”
As well as acting, Bullock continued to produce on the hit sitcom "George Lopez," on which she also made numerous appearances. She was recognized for her accomplishments on the show and received the Raul Julia Award for Excellence in 2002 for helping to expand career openings for the Hispanic community. Her magic was unstoppable as she continued to impress people in the industry and keep getting consistent work.
Bullock has been booked and busy with many commitments both in film and television in the past two decades. But between being an A-list actress and a full-time mom, she is also known for having one of Hollywood’s hottest celebrity bodies.
In 2013, she was lined up among the ranks of Jennifer Lawrence, Penelope Cruz, Kerry Washington, Christina Aguilera and many others. Bullock even made it up to No. 3, trailing behind Lawrence and Cruz. At the time, it was revealed that Bullock had been hitting the gym to improve her physique, keeping her beautiful body and figure toned and ready for action-packed scenes.

Bullock has committed herself to a strict workout routine, the foundation of what is believed to be the various secrets to her very own fountain of youth!
According to Radar Online, the “Oceans Eight" actress is deep into the Body By Simone routine, a fitness plan created methodically by her trainer, Simone De La Rue. The regimen combines yoga, pilates and cardio to create long, lean muscles.
“Sandy has completely transformed her body since starting BBS. She puts in an hour a day, six times a week! She is extremely motivated and driven,” the trainer said in a statement.
While working on the 2013 film “Gravity,” it was revealed at the time that Bullock had added dance as her way to lose weight and be a great addition to her workout routine, Dance Magazine reported.
Biking and running have also been a method of workout that Bullock has added to her already strict routine, a thing she does when she is back in her home in Austin, Texas.
Aside from this, a well-balanced diet is what has also kept Bullock stay in shape — keeping in mind all those extra carbs and sweets, she has developed a way to still enjoy the beauty of food.
In an interview with Women’s Health, Bullock also revealed that despite her strict workout plan to make herself feel and live young, she also makes it a point not to starve herself of the things she likes during cheat day — splurging on raw cookie dough, a bowl of Lucky Charms and even Viennese pastry.
With two more years before hitting 60, Bullock epitomizes the kind of people whose mantra is “age is just a number,” as her undeniable commitment to staying young has definitely paid off with her healthiness.
