Death is one of those harsh realities about life that nobody wants to face, especially when they're young. Whether it's dealing with the passing of a friend or loved one or dealing with one's own mortality, death is a difficult thing to accept.

The most difficult aspect to accept isn't the fact that we will die. Instead, the most painful and stress-inducing part of the entire concept of mortality is having no idea when one's own death will come.
Most people go through their lives assuming that death doesn't have to be a concern until they are very old and wrinkly. At this point, they will have lived a long and meaningful life and death may not be as scary.

However, there are people who aren't fortunate enough to make it until this later age. While there are some things we can do to increase our chances of living a long life such as eating healthy and exercising, there are some external factors that are outside of our control.
