16-Year-Old Darci Lynne Farmer Returned To Talent Show As Guest Performer

Back in 2017, Darci Lynne Farmer shocked the world with her outstanding voice and even more impressive skills as a ventriloquist on the “America’s Got Talent” stage. She was only 12 years old when she took home the win on the competition series after stunning both the judges and the audience with her amazing performances. Using a variety of puppets, Darci has shown off her beautiful singing voice and even rapping abilities while performing ventriloquism at the same time.
Growing up, Darci always had a passion for singing, but was too shy to perform in front of an audience. After discovering the art of ventriloquy, Darci picked up the hobby and began perfecting her skills. Later inspired by fellow “America’s Got Talent” winner Terry Fator, Darci went on to follow in his footsteps and win the competition with her own spin on the art.
Creating the illusion that her voice is coming from elsewhere, such as her puppets, Darci has mastered the craft of throwing her voice through the technique of ventriloquism. On top of being able to show off her beautiful range as a vocalist, Darci has also tackled a variety of different voices and accents with her puppets characters.
Since her win, Darci has made her way back to the “America’s Got Talent” stage as a guest performer to continue to stun the judges and audience with her undeniable talent. On Aug. 11, 2021, the 16-year-old returned to the place that catapulted her into stardom and put on an unforgettable performance alongside one of her longtime puppet characters.

Returning to the “America’s Got Talent” stage as a guest star, Darci continued to show just how unbelievably talented she is. Alongside her longtime puppet pal Oscar the mouse, the previous winner took center stage and put on yet another incredible performance. Beginning the performance, Darci spoke through Oscar without even opening her mouth. Oscar detailed the hardships of his love life, as he was actually dating a squirrel named Samantha, who drove him crazy with her hyperactive nature.
Reassuring her friend, Darci simply told him that he needed to let the good times roll, sparking a great idea for a musical performance. Launching into song, Oscar began singing the song “Let the Good Times Roll” by Louis Jordan. As the song progressed, he even asked for help from the audience to sing along, including Darci. Switching from singing as Oscar to singing as herself, Darci’s skills were sharp and on point as she performed the musical number.
After the song came to a close, the 16-year-old received a standing ovation and a loud round of applause from all four “America’s Got Talent” judges and the entire audience. Posting on Instagram following her amazing performance, Darci wrote, “Oscar and I let the good times roll tonight on @AGT!! It felt SO good to be back on the stage that started it all, so grateful.”
Darci has only continued to skyrocket to greater heights since her win on the competition series back in 2017. The star has been touring across the United States since July 2021 on her My Lips Are Sealed (Except When They’re Not) tour, which runs until March 2022.
