The Duchess of Cambridge looks great in anything she wears, but one particular color that really suits her is green. In fact she wears it often, obviously taking a liking to the color and how it boosts her complexion. Here, we break down 12 times that Kate Middleton donned green and looked absolutely stunning in the process.

To give further insight into her color choices, HELLO! magazine spoke with color specialist Gabriella Winters in order to learn more about why the Duchess may have such an affinity for green. She explained to HELLO!: "Kate has medium-dark eyes that are on the softer side in terms of intensity, and dependant on the lighting they appear to be slightly different shades of green. She wears her eye colours [sic] often and very successfully. Wearing colours [sic] that are innate to your colouring will make you appear graceful, fresh and elevated –– Kate wearing her eye colours [sic] make her look effortlessly elegant, glowing and refined."

During the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's royal tour of Ireland, Kate stunned onlookers in this shimmery, emerald green dress by cult brand The Vampire's Wife –– a favorite among celebrities. Fun fact: the brand was started by musician Nick Cave's wife, Susie.

Kate wore this elegant forest green Beulah dress on two occasions –– first, at the launch of a new national campaign line with Family Action, and secondly, to an event at Buckingham Palace in November 2019. Gabriela explained to HELLO!: "A person wearing green will exert an impression of composure, rationality and stability. More specifically, Kate's pine greens evoke a sense of aspiration, sophistication and prosperity, while her olive shades induce feelings of wisdom, self-love and feminine leadership qualities."

While in Pakistan, Kate wore this floor-length sequined dress to a reception hosted by the British High Commissioner to the country. She also coordinated with Prince William, who wore a dark green sherwani by designer Naushemian.

A popular sartorial moment among her fans, this bright Dolce and Gabbana dress was Kate's choice for the Wimbledon women's final in 2019, which she attended with the Duchess of Sussex. She also wore it before in 2016, during a royal visit to Canada. The button-up dress looks so great on her that it's since been named after her!

After Kate wore this polka dot L.K. Bennett dress, it sold out very quickly! In the same interview with HELLO!, Gabriela suggested Kate's affinity for green could be because of its associations with nature, as it's well known the Duchess likes to be outdoors. She explained: "Culturally, green of course is the universally accepted colour [sic] of nature, and thus it's often associated with freshness, restoration and environmental awareness. We are reassured by the presence of green on a primal instinct level."
