Meet Anna Del Priore, the remarkable 107-year-old woman who has somehow managed to survive two uniquely dangerous pandemics. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Anna found herself subjected to the horrors of the Spanish Flu when she was just 6 years old in 1918.

Incredibly, nearly exactly 100 years later, Anna has beaten the odds and survived her bout with COVID-19.

Having lived in an assisted-living care facility in New Jersey for the past few years–since around 2013–Anna found herself in a particularly dangerous position during her second pandemic.

With assisted care facilities having been hit particularly hard by the COVID-19 pandemic, Anna's own granddaughter Darlene Jasmine told Inside Edition that she "thought that this might be the thing that was going to take her down this time."

However, it would seem that it was not in Anna's genes to succumb to the overwhelmingly fatal pandemic. Anna would go on to develop a slight fever and a cough, nothing more, miraculously avoiding some of the more serious side effects of the virus.

As for what has made Anna such a fighter, it might come down to those same resilient genes. Living miles away in Queens is Anna's own sister, just two years younger than her, having also beaten COVID-19 at the age of 105.

While it seems Anna and her family have a wide breadth of sturdy genes to be thankful for, Anna saw the need to share a few of her tips for living a long and healthy life as well. The 107-year-old survivor laughingly shared, "I eat hot peppers."

She also insists on the value of regularly exercising, reporting that she and her friends went on daily mile-long walks to the local McDonald's until she turned the ripe old age of 100.

Regardless of how much of it comes down to genes or lifestyle, Anna's hardiness has not gone unnoticed by others around her. As her primary caretaker Laura Halle reports, “Everyone was just amazed that she’s a survivor of two pandemics.”

As for Anna herself, the 107-year-old is nothing short of thankful, saying “God helped me be strong. I’ve got good friends and I’m healthy.”

Anna Del Priore, the miraculous woman who survived two pandemics, will turn 108 this coming September 5. We are sure she will have a grand old celebration after everything she has overcome!
