10-Year-Old Singer Picks Difficult Classic For Audition - Blown Away Judges Call Her A "Superstar"

Anna Christine isn't like most 10-year-olds. Instead of doodling in her notebook or turning in homework, she's wowing the judges on America's Got Talent. Anna Christine showed that even though she's fresh out of fourth grade, she can compete in the big leagues!

Don't let looks fool you. This pint-sized powerhouse belted a classic song that earned the judges' praise. They called her a total superstar.

Anna Christine started singing at just five years old. At first it was just memorizing commercials or soundtracks that she loved. She quickly progressed beyond that, however. As soon as Anna Christine turned eight, her mom believed that her voice was that of a professional. Anna Christine wanted to try out for America's Got Talent and her mom knew she could make it! The AGT camera crew asked Anna Christine how she was feeling on the day of the audition. She said she wasn't nervous at all. The little girl explained that as long as her mom is with her, she can do anything. Anna Christine also knew that she'd come this far. She couldn't let fear or nervousness distract her from her goal. So she squared her shoulders, smiled at AGT host Nick Cannon, and approached the stage.

Howard Stern is one of the judges and has quite the personality, but Anna Christine more than held her own. She introduced herself and explained what she'd be performing. Then she closed her eyes and sang.

Her choice? The classic "House of the Rising Sun" by The Animals. Even though the song came out several decades before Anna Christine was born, she hit every note perfectly. She also accompanied herself on piano! Anna Christine has an unexpectedly deep and mature voice for someone so young.

The judges couldn't believe their ears. Anna Christine had impressed them all. She was very humble as she accepted their praise. It was clear that this preteen was going places. Anna Christine passed to the semi-final round of AGT with ease. She sang her best before being sent home. Not bad for a 10-year-old!

Anna Christine might not have won, but that hasn't stopped her from keeping her eyes on a different prize: a music career. She is continuing to hone her skills. We expect amazing things from her!
