Young Girl Dresses Up In ‘Crazy’ Glam Look With False Lashes & Nails For Graduation And Her Mom Receives The Flak

One aspect of society that seems to always be in the conversation is the subject of parents and their parenting styles. Many will agree that there are various approaches to being a parent, but parents are not free from scrutiny whenever other people sense some form of irregularity. Regarding age-appropriate glam and outfits for kids, several media debates have maintained that kids should not be allowed to wear or use items pertaining to adults.

In a clip that appeared to have been in circulation since 2022, one mom got the attention of social media users when her little daughter graced her graduation party donning unusual beauty products that kids do not generally have access to. Across several media platforms, internet users weighed in on the situation, and all fingers pointed at the unknown mom. 

On TikTok, creator Baatsebawinnie posted the clip in December 2022, which was shared over 50,000 times with over 12,000 comments. The clip started with the person behind the camera panning around to show the little girl sitting with her peers. All around, pupils still in their formative years were dressed in black robes for their big day.    

The camera soon settled on the girl, showing her rocking tiny waist-length braids swept up in a high ponytail. She held on to her hat while showing off the colorful blue and red acrylic nails on her fingers. Her long black false lashes also stood out as she scanned the crowd. The child seemed unaware of being filmed while looking bored. Even with the groovy music playing in the background, she appeared exhausted. 

The girl seemed comfortable with her not-so-usual glam, but social media users thought otherwise. Many had a field day sharing their opinions, while others thought it was hilarious. 

One TikToker joked while making assumptions in the comment section, "She is even tired; she spent all night doing nails and eye lashes 😂." Another added, "Kids are going through the most 😅😅😅." From experience, someone assumed, "Having a baby sister, I know she most definitely cried for it." 

Another TikTok user echoed a similar sentiment, "😂😂chances are she cried for those things." One person berated the unknown mother: "Her mother really needs cane. Why the stress on this little girl." More commenters veered on the course of light-hearted fun as they joked about the little girl's look. One person chimed, "She's handling those eyelashes better than me 😂😂🥰🥰🥰."

"Why can't we introduce something new bathong (sic), like taking them to parks, doing a whole lot of fun activities, colour painting, Fun color runs," a user questioned. Another relayed, "The principal of the crèche should have not allowed such nonsense. Di babymama dina le stress.” 

One mom shared, "Mine she is 1 year months n (sic) all the time she sees me doin make up I'm surprised later she will be trying to imitate brushing her eyebrow w a toothbrush."  

In a YouTube post, commenters expressed disapproval noting that it was very inappropriate. One user wrote: "Very inappropriate for someone her age. Let children be children." Another included: "This is so crazy! The mother needs to be evaluated! Smh." 

The clip continued to gain traction, with people maintaining that the additional adornment was not age-appropriate.
