Woman Wants Short 'Easy' Hair But Some Say It's The Makeover Guy’s First Disappointment

Everyone loves a makeover. To see the incredible before and after transformation is a thrill. The Makeover Guy is a professional makeover artist. Usually, his makeovers are well-received, but people have been calling the makeover of a 60-year-old woman with long, curly hair, cut to a short, easy-to-manage style as his first real fail.

The Makeover Guy has almost 300,000 subscribers to his videos. Normally, he gets about 100,000 views per article. But a recent video has had over 265,000 views. Part of the reason is that not everyone likes his makeover.

Christopher Hopkins, aka The Makeover Guy, is based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Minneapolis may be in the Midwest, but there is a lot of glamour and glitz in the "Minneapple." This is a city with a lot to do and places to go out. There is an active theater scene, with lots of award-winning restaurants. You want to look good.

Christopher, who wrote the book Staging Your Comeback, has clients coming from around the world to his studio. He will help women reinvent their look.

It is not uncommon for women to still be wearing a hairstyle from their high school or college days. He helps them look updated and makes them look more youthful with the makeover.

Meet Deb in the latest video. She will soon be a 60-year-old but feels "roughly 35" inside. She has long, curly, dark hair. It is gorgeous.

But, Deb believes that she will look younger if she changes her hair. Christopher thought that she would want to keep her hair long. If a woman reaches this age with long hair, they are usually reluctant to cut it.

But, Deb was all excited about the notion of cutting it off. She believed that by cutting her hair, she would just look younger.

Most of all, she wants something "easy." The longer hair means more care and more time. In the video, we see Deb with her long hair from behind. Then, side by side, there is the transformed Deb with her short hair.

Both Debs turn around. Wow! What a transformation. The Makeover Guy loves her look. Most importantly, Deb loves it. She loves her transformation from wild curly hair to a more polished look. She is ready to go into her 60s with a fresh outlook.

Although Debbie loves her new look, many viewers took to the comments on Youtube to express their dismay at her new hairstyle, with some even describing it as Hopkins' first-ever flop. 

"I thought she was gorgeous and a bit wild looking before," wrote one viewer. "I know she wanted it short but I think it really aged her..sorry my first "not happy" comment EVER!"

Another one touched on Deb's curls, which in their opinion Hopkins did not do them right. 

"I was hoping that she would be given a haircut that took advantage of her beautiful curls, instead of whacking it off into the office ladies hairstyle. If that's how she likes it though, go for it," they wrote. 

Viewers might not be fans of Deb's look but, at the end of the day, their opinion isn't important. As long as Deb is happy, then so are we!
