Woman Claims She Lives With Over 1000 Cats - Footage Of Her Home From The Inside Has Everyone Flabbergasted

Lynea Lattanzio has described herself as being at the 'top of the list of the eccentric, crazy cat ladies'. Not many people would disagree with Lattanzio as she currently lives with over 1,000 cats.
In fact, she has lived with over 28,000 cats so far in her lifetime. That number is expected to grow as Lattanzio runs the largest no-kill, no-cage cat facility in the state of California.
The sanctuary takes in feral and unwanted cats and currently has more than 600 adult cats and 300 kittens. The sheer amount of cats has forced Lattanzio to move out of her home.
Lattanzio started taking in cats when she brought home 15 kittens to her father. By the end of that year, she had rescued and found homes for 96 cats. It was during this time that Lattanzio realized she had found her passion.
For the next seven years, she funded these operations from out of her own pocket.
Lattanzio spent her retirement funds, sold her car and even parted ways with her wedding ring in order to save more cats. Once her room became overrun by over 60 cats, Lattanzio decided to relocate to a rental home on the same property.

Her new home is a small, 1,600 square foot mobile home with only a few hundred cats scattered throughout. The home that Lattanzio handed over to the cat sanctuary was 4,200 square foot with five bedrooms, a pool, wet bar and a view of the river.
This move is just another major sacrifice that Lattanzio has made for her beloved cats. Lattanzio actually went to school to become a vet in order to cut the costs of her entire operation. However, the thousands of cats quickly became too much for one person to handle.
This six-acre cat sanctuary is now called 'Cat House on the Kings' and has been turned into an official operation. Lattanzio has hired a team of volunteers and employees to help run the sanctuary. The entire operation costs a whopping 1.6 million US dollars per year.
This amount covers all costs for the 'Cat House on the Kings' sanctuary including medical, staff, litter and more. BarcroftTV was allowed exclusive access into the sanctuary and Lattanzio's home to see the inner-workings of the entire operation.
The cleanliness and organization of all homes on the property are very impressive considering the sheer amount of cats living there.
