Watching An Emotional Video Message By Her Marine Son At Church, This Mom Bursts Into Tears When She Hears "Turn Around"

Dave Woodruff is a U.S. Marine who has been away from home for eight months. He has been serving the country in Spain on a deployment.

Aside from being in Spain, he has been in other areas across the world, making his total time away from his family at least two years.

Since he knew that his time in Spain would end soon, he wanted to surprise his family in a unique way because they didn't know when he would be home. Dave talked to a group of friends to pull off a memorable event for his mother and other family members.

Dave's parents were in the congregation at Christ the King Church one morning. They listened to the pastor and stood with everyone else to sing songs of worship. Before the congregation was dismissed for the day, the pastor made an announcement that there was a surprise for a few people.

Dave already made a video to wish his father a happy birthday. He told his father that he was sorry that he had missed his father's birthday while he was deployed. Dave had been planning to do something special for his parents, and at the end of the video, he told his parents to turn around to look behind them.
