Back in 2015, a 15-year-old Andrew Crain from Washington chased down a suspected kidnapper who had allegedly snatched a 22-month-old toddler from his stroller. The screams of the toddler's then eight-year-old sister Delicia Wright and 10-year-old brother Brenden Wright drew Crain's attention, who went after the suspect along with his friend Isaac Yow.
Every parent fears that their child may become a victim of crime. Stores of children being kidnapped are not new, as some infamous cases continue to shock people decades after they occurred. Parents and teachers do need to remind kids to beware of "stranger danger." Sometimes, no one needs to remind siblings to look after their brother or sister.

The Shocking Day and Amazing Rescue
Little Owen and his siblings were playing outside their babysitter's home. They played in a park without much thought to troubles in the world. Sadly, the dark cloud of trouble found them.
A report by Daily Mail explained that a mysterious man came up to the children and started talking with them. Without warning, the stranger took Owen and supposedly tried to run away with him. Owen's brother and sister, Delicia and Brenden, chased after the man.
Many young ones would be too shocked to jump into action. Some would accept a stranger's story on face value and not realize the stranger represented a threat. And few would do what Delicia and Brenden did, which was to chase the stranger down the street.
Even more surprising was the ages of Delicia and Brenden. The two were not teenagers. Delicia was eight, and Brenden was 10. Age didn't stop them from taking action. Had they not decided to do so, things would not have turned out the way they did.
Saving Owen
The young siblings chased the stranger down the street, and they were yelling and screaming all the way. Making noise was a smart move on their part. The noise helped capture the attention of two teenagers, 15-year-old Andrew Crain and his friend Isaac Yow, who lent an assist. With four young persons chasing after him, the stranger likely felt he would get caught. So, he let go of Owen and kept running.
It didn't matter, though. The two teenagers recognized the stranger. Shockingly, he was a student at their high school. Video of the incident exists, and the video may be used as evidence. Kidnapping is a serious crime.
The story of how Owen ended up saved by his brother and sister and two heroic teens could inspire others as the event also raises awareness about keeping kids safe. Let others know about this tale of "kid heroism," and show that heroes come in all ages.
