This Unique Breed Of Dog Looks More Like A Statue And It’s Freaking People Out
Jan 15, 2019
Dogs are all unique and special in their own way. Even if they’re a breed that always looks strikingly similar to their littermates, they have their own personalities and quirks that make them individuals. Some dogs are more traditionally beautiful than others, competing in dog competitions and winning gold trophies for their owners to take home, while other dogs compete in the World’s Ugliest Dog Contest due to their unfamiliar appearances.
Whether our dogs are beautiful or on the ugly side, we may think that our dogs are one-of-a-kind, but they’ve got nothing on this dog! We’re positive that you’ve never seen anything like this before. This dog is so unique that it’s freaking everyone out!

A woman from the Philippines, a medical student, named Sandra Pineda, adopted a puppy that she knew would grow up to be unique. When she adopted the 8-week-old dog, she knew that his appearance was striking, but she would never be able to prepare herself for what was about to happen next.
With the wild technological world that we live in, it’s easy for posts to spread quickly and information to be shared to become viral. But Sandra never thought that her dog would be the one going viral! When she posted a picture of her new puppy, it gathered an amazing 10,000 likes and also an added thousands of messages and comments reacting to the picture.
But what makes this dog so unique? The dog, named Piper, is a Xoloitzcuintli, also known as the Mexican hairless species of dog, and even her mom Sandra admits that many people think that she looks like a statue. Her hairless figure gives her such a unique look that it actually looks like she’s been made of stone instead of being an actual dog!
Although the Xoloitzcuintli comes in three different sizes, also known as miniature, a smaller version called a toy, and a standard size, people have still never seen a dog quite like this one, as they are quite uncommon in some areas of the world.
The dogs can range in colour from black, red, or bronze, and their skin is known for wrinkling when they show emotion. What a unique creature! You can find out more about Piper in the video above. What do you think about the Xoloitzcuintli? Don't forget to inform your friends and family about this rare breed of dogs!
