This Scared German Shepherd Sounds Exactly Like A Human When He Cries

A video shows a frightened German Shepherd backing away from her rescuer. Her rescuer finally manages to get through to her with kindness.
Rescuing animals isn't easy.
Millions of animals roam the streets, experiencing cold and hunger and loneliness. Though rescue groups try to help, they can't save every animal. Helping to rescue an animal requires a lot of trust, on both the animal and the rescuer's part. Nowhere was this truer than with a German Shepherd whose name is Rain. People in the neighborhood had seen that Rain was running around the streets. It was obvious that she was hungry and afraid. Several people tried to calm her down, and even though Rain didn't show any aggressive signs, she wouldn't let humans come near her.

Hope For Paws is the rescue that stepped in.
Two volunteers with the rescue, Loreta Frankonyte and Eldad Hagar, came to try to gain Rain's trust with hamburger meat. The meat isn't enough to entice the dog closer. As Loreta moves closer, the dog begins to cry. It's obvious that she wants to be helped, but she's too frightened to accept the help being offered.
Loreta wouldn't give up, even as the dog moved back and cried.
Eventually, she gets close enough to pull a snare over Rain's head to pull her out of the hiding place. The woman who originally called the rescue, Carey Linnell, holds open a cage door for the dog. Rain seems to be comfortable enough with Carey to run up to her. Eventually, Rain was brought to a shelter, where she was given a meal, medical care, and a bath.
Hope For Paws has rescued hundreds of lost and abused pets.
Rain was shy to begin with, but after she realized that the humans cared about her, she began to be more enthusiastic. Two weeks after her rescue, she was adopted by a new owner who named her Sassy Pants Dunbar. She's doing well in her new home.
A little kindness is sometimes all it takes to help an animal in need. What would you have done in this situation?
