This Cuddly Sea Lion Taught A Kayaker Why Sea Lions Are Called The Dogs Of The Sea
Jul 06, 2018
Although there is a lot of creepy marine life lurking beneath the depths, sea lions are nothing to be afraid of. In fact, they have even been dubbed the dogs of the sea because of their kind spirits. One kayaker had his day made when one decided to hop aboard and cuddle for an hour.
Vincent Fejeran was looking forward to a relaxing day of fishing when he launched his kayak by the Coronado Bridge in San Diego, California. To his immense surprise, suddenly he was joined by an aquatic passenger. This friendly pup made friends with Vincent, who got to enjoy the sea lion's company for the next hour.

Although most wildlife is skittish around humans, this sea lion acted like he was reuniting with his long lost best friend. In the adorable photos and videos Vincent captured, you can see the pup nuzzling his head on Vincent's shoulder.
In the video, Vincent amusedly asks his new friend, "Are you gonna ride all day, or what are you gonna do?"
When his friend looks like he will never leave, Vincent knows he has to part ways with the sea lion, so he begins to paddle back to shore hoping that this would motivate the pup to leave on its own.
Their unique ride together is incredible enough as it is, but the story gets better. The sea lion enjoyed Vincent's company so much that even when he was brought close to shore, he still didn't want to leave. Luckily, Vincent was eventually able to coax his buddy back into the water where he belonged.
This is definitely an encounter that Vincent will cherish the rest of his life! Be sure to send this video to all of your friends to make their day.
