Your lasagna also includes a layer of cheesecake and a crust that is made of oatmeal. You can top your lasagna with whipped cream or ice cream, whichever one you would want to enjoy. There are a few options that you could try for the toppings on your lasagna as well, such as a drizzle of caramel or chocolate.
This is a recipe that allows you to play with the ingredients so that you can make your own creation with the flavors that you like. One idea would be to warm the apple pie filling before adding this layer so that there is a hot element.
Ingredients
- 1 pouch (17.5 ounces) oatmeal cookie mix + ingredients required on the pouch
- ⅓ cup butter, melted
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- ½ cup + 2 tablespoons caramel sauce
- 12 ounces Cool Whip, thawed
- 2 cups apple pie filling
- 2 boxes vanilla instant pudding
- 3 cups cold milk
Before you begin combining all of your ingredients, you should preheat your oven to 375 degrees. This is so that you can bake your oatmeal cookies that are used for the crumbled crust of your lasagna.
When the cookies are crumbled, add melted butter to make a crust. Combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, and caramel sauce in a bowl to make the filling for one layer of your lasagna. Add whipped cream to this mixture so that it has a creamy texture. Layer each of the ingredients in a baking dish, starting with the oatmeal cookies, then the apple pie filling, then the cheesecake and pudding.
