The Lifetime channel is celebrating the unique and endearing friendship of Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn with a new film chronicling their relationship.
"Patsy and Loretta" will air on October 19 at 8 pm EST. The movie will also be available to watch on the Lifetime app and on Hulu. The film chronicles the friendship that began when the two were both trying to break into the country music ranks.
Megan Hilty plays the role of Patsy while Jessie Mueller plays Loretta. In supporting roles, Kyle Schmid portrays Patsy’s husband, Charlie Dick. Joe Tippett is playing the role of Loretta’s husband, Oliver “Doolittle” Lynn..

When the dynamic duo first met, Patsy was already a rising star. Loretta was struggling to find her place and make her way in the industry. Rather than shun her as competition, Patsy took Loretta under her tutelage and helped her to make it in Nashville.
It did not take long for the friendship to take off and for the two to begin touring together as they bonded over their common lifestyle. The movie also covers Patsy's tragic death in a car accident when she was only 30 years old.
